THAT sort of bullying creates a climate of fear among Americans, forcing them to abandon cherished principles, back nasty causes, or shut up entirely. And the left relies on that sort of bullying to the exclusion of all other tactics." --p 10

Just in case you hadn't noticed, the overwhelming majority of the vitriol on display in the public square originates from those on the Left. Honest, hardworking, law-abiding conservatives like myself have been putting up with it for years and it has only gotten worse since Barack Obama became President. Most of us are bound and determined not to stoop to the same tactics employed by our ideological adversaries. Progressives will deny they engage in such tactics but author Ben Shapiro has done his homework and has assembled a comprehensive anthology of some of the left's "greatest hits" in his compelling new book "Bullies: How The Left's Culture of Fear and Intimidation Silences Americans". Shapiro leaves very little doubt how the left has managed to get its way over the past quarter century and makes it abundantly clear that conservatives need to figure out some way to counter these tactics. What better illustrates the veracity and the need for this book better than the "Amazon Bomb" campaign the left has decreed against this book (witness all the curious 1-star ratings)? Finally, in one volume, Shapiro debunks the narrative that the conservatives are the "haters" and the mean people. This work methodically lists and documents all the ways liberals truly bully everyone who gets in their way. In fact, an entire book could be written on each chapter. There is no tolerance, no consensus, no bargaining - it's their way or the highway. Kudos to Shapiro for pulling this material together and speaking the truth.

In Ben's latest book, he nails down the coffin on the leftist bullying tactics. He points out exactly how the left bully the american people to get there point and message out there. A must read for anyone who is fed up with political bullying..

Ben Shapiro is a voice of reason and common sense offsetting the hypocrisy of the liberal/progressive left. Ben's book is a great read, highly recommended.

I have to admit I did not really believe it when I heard that liberals resort to nasty name-calling tactics with people who disagree with them, but I do now! Such hate! Where is all coming from? I have never been affiliated with any particular party, so I don't hang out with liberals or conservatives. Is it possible that you (liberals) don't know how to debate with facts so you use mean words to try to disarm the other side? If so, that is TOTALLY the definition of bullying! As far as the book, itself, is concerned, I think it was well-written and the author had some valid points. I had my fair share of being bullied when I was a kid (I had a speech defect and I was kind of a computer geek so I know what bullying is). I wish I'd had this book back then.

Like ALL of the liberals who have given the book a one star rating, I haven't read the book yet either. I'm simply giving it 5 stars to counter the left wing trolls who rate any book by a conservative as 1 star even though they have never read the book. As for those who saw Mr. Shapiro stand up to the bullying Piers Morgan and claims that he bullied Piers, all I can say is, "dream on." Piers was his usual arrogant, bullying self and seemed stunned that someone had the combination of fortitude, facts and logic to stand up to his typical bullying tactics.

Piers assumes that he painted Ben as some extremist conspiracy theory nut, but he forgets (maybe he never knew) that the Revolutionary War was fought for the exact reason that Ben states the 2nd amendment was included in the Constitution - to allow the people to overthrow a tyrannical, oppressive government.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --[b]That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it[/b], and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
