Book Description

Bullies Suck – How to Stop Bullying and Cyber Bullying at School, at Work & at Home.

Are you the target of bullying or cyber bullying at school, at work or at home and no matter what you try – nothing is working to make it stop?

Are you dealing with emotional issues from bullying in the past?

Are you sick and tired of feeling as if something is wrong with you, you aren’t good enough or you are too weak to stand up for yourself?

Are you frustrated with how the school systems, politicians and the mainstream media all talk about stopping bullying – but then when you are your child needs help, no one is listening?

Have you tried to “Turn the Other Cheek”, “Ignore the Bully” and “Just Tell Someone” and it actually made the bullying worse?

Well, bullying IS getting worse.

Since 2003, the number of students that have reported being bullied has increased by 450%! And that does NOT include the students that were bullied and never reported it.

Here is the reality - everything you are being taught about how to stop bullying and cyber bullying is dead wrong.

Not only does conventional wisdom on how to stop bullying and cyber bullying not work – things like “Turn the Other Cheek” and “Ignore the Bully and Walk Away” – but there are studies showing that using these techniques can literally act like a poison to your body, leading to depression, anxiety, substance abuse and suicide.

The reality is that bullying and cyber bullying are NOT going to stop. They are never going away. No politician, school teacher, principle, well-meaning academics or professional assembly speaker is ever going to be able to make them go away.

There is only ONE answer to stop bullying and cyber bullying…

You are the answer. No one is coming to the rescue – we have to learn how be stronger emotionally, mentally and physically. We have to learn how to “Take Back Our Power” from the bullies in our lives.

That is where the Bully Proof Sensei and World’s First Motivational Insultant, William “Bill” Huff, Jr. and his controversial new book, “Bullies Suck: How to Stop Bullying and Cyber Bullying at School, at Work and at Home” comes in.

Sensei Bill is a survivor of molestation and bullying as a child, a former U.S. Marine, professional martial arts instructor and entrepreneur.

Sensei Bill takes his personal experiences of bullying and molestation, his training in the U.S. Marines; his experiences working with thousands and thousands of people through martial arts training, his coaching and consulting with small business owners and his life-long study of personal development and combines them all into one of the most in-depth, hard-hitting, No B.S. resources of information on bullying that really works.

Using deeply personal stories, anecdotes, scientific studies, statistics and a sense of humor, Sensei Bill shatters the myths about how to stop bullying that are being taught today.

Whether you are an adult being bullied at work or dealing with bullies in your personal life, a parent with a child being bullied or teen looking for guidance on what to do, "Bullies Suck" was written so that everyone can read, understand and begin using these techniques.

Each chapter is written in an enjoyable, easy-to-follow format, sharing stories and teaching valuable nuggets of information along the way.

At the end of each chapter, you will be given clear “how-to” instructions on how to implement and use the information, techniques and philosophies from that chapter.

Sensei Bill is great at telling stories, using his sense of humor and being able to explain things in a way that connects with people – which is how, even with over 300 pages - you will find yourself flying through it, taking notes and learning something new on almost every page.

As a bonus, there is also a Free Video and other gifts included inside as a “thank you” for getting this book. Get your copy today and discover how you can stop bullying and cyber bullying at school, at work and at home.

William Huff has written a profound and effective guide on how to productively deal with the bullying epidemic that we face in society today. His capacity to speak the truth, combined with his experience and wisdom, have resulted in a powerful blueprint that parents, teachers, kids (the bullies and the bullied) can use to stop bullying in its tracks. This is a must read for anyone whose life is being impacted by bullying!

5.0 out of 5 stars Well done... February 14, 2013

A quick but powerful read that should become mandatory (in my opinion) for parents, teachers, administrators and especially kids. Mr. Huff's tell-it-like-it-is commentary combined with factual research allow this book to go where few others have dared; the truth. It reveals insights into the softening of the American parent, the effects of electronic babysitting, and the desperate need for real parenting and positive intervention in the lives of our children, not to mention the way it will make you look at your own history and others around you. It's definitely a solid first step in helping to reduce bullying across all ages.

As a parent AND an elementary teacher- yes, a teacher- I'm thrilled to have discovered this book. Mr. Huff delivers a humorous and sometimes irreverent look at the reality of bullies and how the situations SHOULD be handled in many cases. While I am guided by public school law and community requirements in my classroom, I appreciate the realistic versus academic approach to interpersonal relationships and coping with certain situations. I strive to develop healthy characters in my children and my students but Mr. Huff raises several valid points including the question, " What about the victim and how they are to cope with the aftermath of being bullied?" We are always talking, in the media, seminars, TV shows, and classrooms about how we should treat others. What is out there to address the results? What is out there to help the victims take back their sense of self-worth, confidence, and security? Mr. Huff does NOT , in any way, advocate physical retaliation but he does offer realistic, old-school suggestions that many will find refreshing and boldly basic in their honesty and simplicity. Bravo Mr. Huff!

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read whether you have kids or not February 5, 2013

You would think a book like this is strictly just for those with kids but even those without kids, like myself, can learn and understand concepts that can only enrich ones personal and professional life. Very to the point, sometimes brutally honest, but the message gets across. A great read for those looking to increase the positive fulfillment in their life and the lives of others.

4.0 out of 5 stars Oh sweetie, it's not your fault February 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I read a lot of books but never review them. As a matter of fact, this is the first one I ever commented on.

The bullying issue in this country is in the news weekly. From children committing suicide to psychos killing kids in their school, evidence of the over confident preying on the weak is everywhere. In most of these cases, it's proven out that bullying was prevalent in some form.

It's time that an author had the audacity to tell us that we are responsible for ourselves.

Written with an "in your face" style, the author tells us this isn't a book about hitting someone in the face and it's not. It's about teaching your kids (or learning yourself) that the hunter is after the weakest prey. In the case of bullying, the weakest prey are those with the least confidence.

While there is some self promotion in the book, it is far outweighed by the information, tips and real world scenarios that are given to help the reader grow and develop their skills to deal with bullies.

Hidden behind media hype, social outcry for action and political rhetoric is the core issue that no new law will ever address... for the last 30+ years we've been training our kids that everybody gets a trophy. It's created a cycle of hunter and prey that is only getting worse.

This book aims to help break that cycle and I encourage everyone (especially those in need) to read it.

More About the Author

William Huff, Jr. was born in Misawa, Japan and raised in Boynton Beach, FL. He is passionate about what he calls, "The Three M's & The B"; Music, Martial Arts, Marketing and Bullying.

A traumatic early life experience set the groundwork for his work later in life, although he didn't know it. This experience - along with his mother's insistence - led him first to his first love, music.

Music changed the course of his life, giving him a focus and discipline that would serve him forever. He also developed life-long friendships that helped him through his parents' painful divorce.

After high school, he made another decision that changed his life. He joined the U.S. Marines, where he traveled the world and served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. It was here he discovered the power of martial arts training and how it could change lives.

This started a journey that led to Huff becoming a martial arts instructor, helping thousands and thousands of people through the martial arts. This - along with his personal experience that had happened early in life - also birthed the motivation to help people stand up to the bullies in their lives. This led to his first book, "Bully Proof Kids", later updated and re-released as, "Bullies Suck".

As a professional martial artist, he had to learn to run a business. This forced him on the path to learning what really worked when it came to small business marketing. Diving into the subject, Huff studied and applied what he learned about marketing in the same manner in which he mastered the martial arts.

This led to multiple business opportunities, including the successful start-up of several online and offline businesses over multiple industries. He also realized that he could never spread the message about bullying to enough people if he stayed in one location teaching martial arts. He decided to retire from running a martial arts school and focus 100% on the two areas he had mastered - helping people take back their power from bullies and helping small business owners with their marketing.

Huff now focuses his professional career on two things; first, he helps people take back their power from the bullies in their lives through his website, books and newsletters on how to stop bullying.

Secondly, he works with small business owners on building what he calls, "Supercharged Marketing Systems", combining the best in online and offline marketing tools to create marketing systems that run almost on autopilot, attracting the right kinds of customers.

When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and being the lead singer/rhythm guitar player in his funky, rocking blues band.
