I first 'met' the Shroeders in the film 'Paperclips'. Their commitment to instilling young people with the values of compassion and tolerance is genuine. I love the concept behind this bullying book, and read excerpts to my classes as springboards for conversation and anonymous responses. The results were quite effective, so I consider the book a success. However it would have been more powerful, more polished, if they had hired a professional editor. There were errors in syntax, and a failure to carry through on the initial concept of the three 'bystander' monkeys, which left this reader feeling the story was somehow unfinished.
