Awesome,

This album is a masterpiece! The highlight is definitely "Switchblade," a pounding instrumental track. But every other song is great too. Seriously, there is absolutely zero filler. If if you're a fan a Link Wray, you will want this one for your collection. Be warned, though, that it doesn't sound much like Link's stuff from the 50's and 60's. "Bullshot" has much more of a 70's blues-rock feel to it. If you're okay with that, then go buy this (if you can find it, that is).

BULLSHOOT...BULLSHOT!,

GOT THIS ALBUM IN THE LATE '70'S AND ENJOYED IT A LOT. NOW THAT EVERYTHING IS ON DISC, I CAN'T FIND THIS ON DISC. THAT IS A MAJOR SIN. I PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE GIVEN IT 5 STARS, BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER IT WELL ENOUGHT FOR 5, HENCE 4 ONLY. I CAN TELL YOU THIS, IT IS WORTH THE PRICE OR MORE FOR JUST 2 OF THE SONGS: IT'S ALL OVER NOW, BABY BLUE; AND THE SKY IS FALLING. YOU'VE JUST GOT TO HEAR THEM TO BELIEVE, AND BELIEVE YOU WILL WHEN YOU HEAR THEM. C'MON FOLKS, LET'S GET THIS MASTERPIECE OUT ON DISC POST HASTE!

In a perfect world...,

In a perfect world, Link Wray's Bullshot would be recognized as the tour de force it is. Great song selection, arrangements, production and guitar licks makes this a cd you will come back to again and again. Check out "Wild Party". Shades of the new first family. Rock on Link!

Take out your air guitar for this one! No filler. As Jack Black would say, face melting guitar work! Highlights: Bob Dylan's It's All Over Now Baby Blue and Link's remake of himself, Raw-Hide. You finally get a breather at the end with Elvis' "Don't".

You need this. Blazing guitar work. If you have only one Link Wray record, this should be it.

I don't know if this is available on C.D.,if it is ,get it.There really is not a duff track on the album, from the menace of "Good,Good Lovin'" and "Switchblade",through to the ballad finale of "Don't".I'd go further and say it's probably the most whole Link Wray album there is.GET IT.

I bought the vinyl when it came out, haven't heard it for over 17 years since I bought a CD player. This album is one of the few treasures I wish I owned on CD. Great rockin guitar, and surprisingly good vocals.

A lot of filler, but worth it for a Link Wray fan,
By Keith Moonshine (Roanoke, VA) - See all my reviews

Most of these songs are throwaways, especially Wild Party, which was a real waste of vinyl. However, Switchblade and especially The Sky is Falling, ending with Link's thrilling rave up, make this album worth owning.
