This review is from: Bully Tools 91102 Roof Ripper Steel Shingle Remover with Fiberglass Long Handle (Lawn & Patio)
We have 4 employees, including me, in our small home improvement business and do a little bit of everything, from kitchens and baths to roofs. Last year we were on 14 roofs. We've used a half a dozen differnt types of shingle shovels and this one is the consensus favorite. When we had just 2 of these they were the first ones out of the truck in the morning. I was usually using something else so I made sure the other shovels were used enough to make a fair asessment. The Bully works well on nails and staples. We try to work from the top down, but this shovel works as well going up if the roof pitch requires roof jacks. Shingles come up in large sections making it easier to get them in the dump or on the tarp. The shorter model has a D-handle which some guys prefer. The metal is thinner than some of the other brands, especially the more expensive ones, and the teeth eventually wear down but clean up easily with an angle grinder. We've tried the Beast and the Shingle Shark among others, but like the Bully the best.
