It Does What It Does - Well,
By CD Junkie (Dayton, MN United States) - See all my reviews

What's not to like (except the job itself)? It's rock solid, has a long enough handle, and does the low-tech job it's supposed to do very well. I've used this on a dozen small cabin roofs and am about to buy another one. I'm not a roofing professional, so I don't know what a "bad" one of these would be like, but I don't have any complaints with this one.

These nail pullers work great! They save a lot of bending over to remove the nails from the roof decking. At times you can even pull two nails at once! I was glad to find this product online as I couldn't find it in the stores in this area.

A Professional Roofer gives this tool 2 thumbs up!,

"I wish I had had this tool 20 years ago!" says the professional roofing contractor who's been using it for the last 2 yrs.
He bought it USED (from a pawn shop) and has removed approx. 30 residential roofs with it and it's the teeth are just now showing some signs of wear. (not to say it is "wearing out"---just that the teeth need a little touch-up with a grinder to sharpen them up so that they catch the nails better again). The big benefit to this tool is that the blades are replaceable---no need to pay for the handle every time the toothed part wears out as with a regular roofing shovel or some other shingle remover tools! If you're the average homeowner/do-it-yourselfer you will only need to buy one of these in your lifetime to take care of your own and your buddy's roofing needs. If you're a professional roofer, this tool should last you through 15-20 average sized tear-offs a year for about 4 yrs (60 to 80 roofs!), at least, with just the occasional sharpening before you need replacement blades. (just don't break the handle by running over it with the dump truck ;o) ) What a bargain!
