Maybe someone else will have better luck with it than I did.

I bought this and put it on my mostly stock 06' f-350. The change in power is day and night. the truck doesn't have much lag anymore, better fuel mileage, and it lets you moniter everything (except exhust temp without a probe kit) I wouldn't recommend putting this into a stock truck and running it on a extreme and using a lot of throttle, the 6.0 can't handle it... But for fuel mileage and some more power it works wonderfully.

I had the same issues as one reviewer already posted. Prior to software update, the settings of the tuner would only work for a short period of time and then it seemed to return to stock on it's own, randomly. Software update wouldn't work with supplied cable. I did have SD adapter and the BD tech support team actually interfaced with my computer and did the update for me. This was a little intrusive, but effective. After the update, the truck responded to the changes in power setting and stayed in that power setting.

Here are my findings after running this unit for the better part of 8 months:
Stock setting: Pretty much what it says
Tow setting: No noticeable difference whatsoever
Performance setting: Behaves like stock/tow settings until the throttle goes past a certain threshold and then it performs like the Extreme setting
Extreme setting: Goes like a BAT OUT OF HELL and oddly gets the best mileage, BY FAR. I'm not sure how much damage riding around in extreme mode is doing to my motor, but it's the best setting for economy. I typically wait for the coolant to warm up above 120 before switching to extreme. It idles better in any of the other three settings, so when I leave it running, I bump it down to performance setting.

Subjective mileage comparisons:
Pre-tuner towing 20' boat: 11.5 +/- mpg (including DPF regen cycles)
Post-tuner towing (on extreme setting) same boat: 16.

Dont bother buying this product. I installed mine approximately a year ago and initially didn't have problems until I had to update the software in the unit. Down loading updates to the unit are slow and did not always take on the first time. Then resetting the truck to stock and downloading the new program to the truck was next to impossible. After multiple times it finally worked. The instruction manual was of no use to help with this issue. The final straw was updating the unit a month ago. Some how the program did not down load completely to the unit and ended up locking up the unit so it could not be used. After multiple attempts to fix the issue with tech support help I finally had to ship the unit back. After receiving the unit back and installing it on my truck. The unit still refused to download the updated program to the truck. I called tech support and they worked with me in trying to clear the files off the SD card and reload them. But we couldnt do this because the cable supplied by Bully Dog couldnt handle the data transfer rate required to delete and load the new files. Tech support wanted me to go buy and SD adapter so I could load the files directly to the SD card but I refused to spend more time and money on a problem that wasnt my fault. In the end they refused to replace the unit because "the unit wasn't faulty only the software was". I tried to explain that the software is an integral part of the unit functioning properly and therefore the unit was faulty but they refused to help other then to fix the issue if I shipped the unit back at my cost....again.

Do not buy this unit! Im upgrading to a Banks system.

Excellent, just plain excellent. If you own a stroke you need this tuner. Power level increases over stack are insane not to mention MPG gain is crazy. Do NOT run on extreme mode with stock head bolts, they will stretch and blow because or pressure increases in motor due to tune. Performance tune is great for stock trucks though plus you can monitor everything except EGT unless you purchase probe kit.

I recently transitioned from a Power Pup to the GT Tuner. I'm very disappointed (understatement) with this new tuner. My Power Pup allowed me to calibrate the speedometer of the truck and change shift points in the transmission. It also did not defuel the truck unexpectedly while going uphill during normal highway use. Guess what...I NEVER had any problems. Unfortunately I sold my Power Pup before I mistakenly thought I was upgrading to the GT or I would have returned it. On the packaging (where it says "what can it do?*") for the GT it advertises that I could still calibrate the speedometer and change shift points. And- it does not mention anything about unexpectedly cutting off power while climing hills, on the highway, EMPTY! Shame on me for automatically assuming it would be an improvement over the Power Pup (and still capable of performing the same functions) and not bothering to get out the magnifying glass to read the VERY TINY disclosure at the VERY BOTTOM of the package that advised "features may vary". Especially since I bought it online. WHAT A SCAM! As for the "driving coach" feature...what an annoying pain in the ass! If I wanted something chirping/beeping/ telling me how to drive- I'd put my mother-in-law in the truck with me. Chances are if someone knows enough to put a tuner in their truck, they're probably smart enough to know how to drive it.

****Update-02/02/2013****
I traded off my 2006 F-450 last fall and thought maybe the GT would work better in the 2010 F-350 6.4L Powestroke I got. This truck(2010)had 29,000 miles on it and was still under warranty. After getting my new truck home, I updated and installed the GT and configured it to my 2010. When I had bought the truck and was driving it home (stock program) I was getting 17-19 MPG.
