Product Description

The Power Pup Downloader is a programmer/tuner that downloads horsepower and performance enhancing programs. The downloader offers two different engine tunes above stock to accommodate various driving conditions. The regular tune is recommended for use with 85 or 87 octane gasoline. For maximum effectiveness it is recommended that shift firmness and shift points be increased. This tune can be used for everyday driving and towing. The premium Engine Tune is recommended for use with 91 or 93 octane gasoline. Again increases in shift firmness and shift points are recommended with this tune. This tune can be used for everyday driving and off highway racing. Additional features include Transmission tuning, Transmission shift points, speed limiter adjustment and reading and erasing diagnostic trouble codes.

This was a neat idea that didn't really work for me. I tried it out of the box and it didn't connect. I had to get back on a PC and download updates to the unit. Once I did that it did connect and it did allow me to clear one of my error codes. I tried to set my car to a performance setting and it kept on crashing and saying that it could not save. I decided to send it back and save some time. This is a neat product that if it worked for me I would have been very happy with. I might recommend getting this from a local speed shop and trying it in the parking lot. I haven't bought another one yet.... but i will... One last thing is my car was completely shut down the next morning. I had to disconnect and reconnect the battery in order to reset and start my car. I want to give this more stars but it didn't work for me.
