From the Manufacturer

Bully: Scholarship Edition takes place at the fictional New England boarding school, Bullworth Academy and tells the story of mischievous 15-year-old Jimmy Hopkins as he goes through the hilarity and awkwardness of adolescence. Beat the jocks at dodge ball, play pranks on the preppies, save the nerds, kiss the girl and ultimately navigate the social hierarchy in the worst school around.

KEY FEATURES

  • Story – Scholarship Edition brings together all of the clichés surrounding school, the cliques, the teachers, the pranks and creates an environment which is hilarious to play and interesting to explore.
  • Variety – With 82 missions, 45 lessons, loads of mini games and collectibles, Bully provides over 30 hours of entertainment.
  • Pranks – Spread the mischief. Use your slingshot to annoy the school mascot, give the preppies wedgies, leave a stink bomb in the cheerleader’s locker, trip the prefects on well placed marbles, drop firecrackers in the toilets and own the school.
  • Characters – Over 100 voiced characters to socially interact with among several social groups; jocks, nerds, preppies, greasers, teachers, townies, carnies and of course girls.
  • Choice – You’re in charge. Decide whether you have a positive or negative effect when interacting or accepting missions; you can say hello to fellow classmates or deliver mean wedgies. Even decide which girls you want to kiss or what classes to skip.
  • Music – Original score creates a dynamic atmosphere that compliments the schoolyard experience seamlessly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent port of an awesome game May 27, 2013
Platform for Display:PC Download - Steam DRM
The biggest flaw with the port of Bully would be the controls, but these are easily alleviated by using a gamepad, ideally the Xbox 360 controller itself. Other than that the game runs pretty well on the PC, and is just as fun as it was on the console. The gameplay is varied enough, and the story has the classic Rockstar tongue in cheek satire, and the sandbox world is fun to explore.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun game suffering from an awkward PC port... April 8, 2015
Platform for Display:PC Download - Steam DRM|Verified Purchase
Bully is a really enjoyable game with a great premise and a fun universe. My problems with it lie in the quality of the port. It was originally designed for consoles and the keyboard/mouse controls feel awkward and ill-planned. One can get used to them, but I still found them uncomfortable and inferior to some other Rockstar offerings (GTA IV springs to mind).

Get yourself an Xbox 360 controller and you'll find this a much more enjoyable experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great game, bad port June 17, 2013

This game is exactly what you'd expect. It's a GTA-esque game with a school as a setting. The theming is nothing short of amazing. Every school clique is very different from one another, and the music itself is great. My only issue with this game is that it was originally a PS2 title, then ported to the PC and Wii, and you can clearly tell it doesn't run how it should, even with a good PC. The menus, for example, are all navigated with the keyboard, and if you want to use a gamepad, it might be a little confusing toggling it (try using the left and right keys on your keyboard on the "control settings", it took me a while to figure out)

The game is great, and if you're willing to overlook these non-game-breaking issues, you're in for a great ride. I managed to 100% the game in exactly 24 hours, but I had prior knowledge of the game, since I own the PS2 version.

5.0 out of 5 stars Steam makes the Game Better January 28, 2014
Platform for Display:PC Download - Steam DRM|Verified Purchase
The game is fantastic, I have played it for PS2 as well as PC now. Most the tasks given are pretty simple, but the storyline is fun.

So I originally purchased it for just download and not an online code. The patches were impossible to install (trust me I spent a lot of time trying to do so). Amazon was very easy to work with to switch over to the online game code version instead.

When purchasing this game I had never used Steam to play PC games. I was a bit concern that the DRM might hinder use of the game; however, I found the opposite as it made it much easier to play. Steam as many might know, already has patches installed, so this made setup much easier.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun but Dated March 25, 2015
Platform for Display:PC Download - Steam DRM|Verified Purchase
Extremely fun game. But definitely dated. Everything is poorly optimized for windows 8 so don't expect to play that long if you have Windows 8 OS. I had to tweak the with the properties of the game just to get it to work. When it did finally work I couldnt believe how dated the game looked. The gameplay is still hilarious and fun though, so I do recommend it if you had the game once and are feeling nostalgic, but if you want a beautiful open world rockstar game then get GTA V.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just like I remember it. April 6, 2015

Great game. I binged on this bastard and finally got all those damn rubber bands like I could never do on PS2. The controls can be iffy when you're changing direction while walking/running, pushing you much harder/further than you mean to, but it was at most a minor inconvenience, and from what I hear, the 360 version had the same problem, so no new problems here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Should have bought this sooner May 6, 2014
Platform for Display:PC Download - Steam DRM|Verified Purchase
I didn't play Bully when it initially released and all my friends recommended it. I've been wanting to buy for the XBOX 360 but it's still about $20 at retailers. When I saw it here for about $5 I jumped on it. I haven't gotten too much into the game but it is a lot like GTA. I enjoy the class room mini-games that break up the mission structure and give you perks as you pass them.

Amazing fun game. If you're playing it on Steam, Patch 1.2 it should already be in it. Happy Bullying !
