I really like this watch and haven't had any mechanical problems and thought the price I paid was fair. One of the main reasons I picked this particular wastch was because I really like the band. I've had the watch less than a year and the band is falling apart. The green canvas is coming off of the backing. I sent an email to Bulova to see if they sold a replacement band but never got a response.

I will start with the positive first: This watch is very nice quality and looked perfect when I opened the box. The strap is hefty with 9 eyelets for wrist sizing. This watch is very easy to set and read. A great "Man's" watch.

The negative?: This is a great "Man's" watch for the man that does not want to wear it outdoors on a hiking trip or playing rugbee. After a week of wearing this watch daily I accidently brush the face of the watch against something and it scratched. The face is not made from glass but of plastic. Scratches very easily. Fortunately, for me the scratch was very small. I only wear this watch ocassionally now. I wish Bulova would of invested in a better scratch resistant watch face cover for this one.

Overall, great watch - just not made for the active man.

The Bulova Men's Strap watch #96A102 is a great watch for a great price.Its dial is easy to read and the watch is very light and comfortable. You Just have to remember that the dial window is Acrylic and is easy to Scratch.

I came across these reviews after doing a google search, trying to find out where I could buy a replacement strap for this beautiful watch. My boyfriend wore his watch daily, and although he takes great care of his things, the strap is only canvas and just doesn't last that long. I imagine the people who have given this five-star reviews just got their watch; I'd give it the same if I could only order a replacement strap.

I emailed customer service at the Bulova "service & materials department" and have yet to hear back. In the meantime, I'm just searching online in hopes that there is some way to get a new one so the watch isn't useless anymore.

The delivery was fast and well done. The watch is exactly as I hoped it would look and how it looked in the web site. Super product.

I thought about returning this watch due to its acrylic crystal...until I did research on that type of crystal. I find the acrylic to be the best quality of ANY watch crystal on the market. I was suprised to say the least. The Omega watch co. used this acrylic crystal on the "Omega Speedmaster" for the first moon landing due to its finer qualities over glass, mineral or sapphire. This crystal is used on most of the finer high end watches. The Bulova is a KEEPER.

This watch kept perfect time while languishing at the bottom of a 103 degree hot tub for ten days. Buy it.

The review by "tricky" covers all the good points of the watch. I like how it explains the scratches if one should get them on the watch .. it only adds to it. I would recommend this watch for sure. I would have liked to see a date window but since most people have a cell phone on them with the day and date it doesn't bother me. I love the look of this watch.

One thing though that most people have to understand about the numbers on the watch. The lume on the numbers DO glow but it doesn't last as long as the minute and hour hands. The glow on the numbers only last about 1 hour but quickly fade to a blurry glow which as time goes by will go out. The minute and hour hands will glow most of the night, I would say for 6 - 8 hours. Even though the numbers don't glow long at all, I think that if they did it would be too bright.

It appears that the watch keeps perfect time also. So, far it keeps up with Fossil and Invicta watches that I have as far as time accuracy goes, and this is the number one thing that I look for in a watch.

Over all, this watch is great! It is light weight but if you change the band to a metal one it will add some weight to it. You can get one for about 12 dollars. I give Bulova and Amazon a A+!

I have a 1920's Bulova watch that still keeps perfect time and it is in my nature to tend towards products that truly stand the test of time.(as most, sadly, do not these days) Hong Kong made watch band..Chincey metal clasp and rivets. The glass is questionable. Its feels like plastic and has the luster of plastic but sounds like glass when you tap on it with metal. The numbers and hands have a glow-in-the dark green color to them. The mechanism is manufactured in japan. Overall, the watch feels solid enough for casual wear and tear.

What a fantastic find. I couldn't be happier with the watch. I've received so many compliments on the styling. This has become my new favorite watch to wear! The specs listed were very accurate as was the color. This is a classic that everyone should have in their rotation or as their go to watch.
