Product Description

Bulova

In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch.

Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television ads were declaring, "America runs on Bulova time." In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch, and the first breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have kept official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams.

Today, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in technology and design, offering a diverse collection of beautiful precision timepieces for every occasion.

This watch is a great addition to any collection. It features a bold design centered on its 44mm stainless steel case and patent leather band. The sleek black face makes you stand out it the crowd and will always get you noticed. Additional features include luminous hands, date display, and 50m water resistance.

I did considerable research before purchasing this watch, and even spent some time on the watch-related forums here at Amazon. Eventually I decided on this model of Bulova and I simply could not be happier. This watch is extremely nice looking, with an oversized (but not gigantic) watch face and distinctive, art deco-styled hands and numerals. The watch displays the date but does not include a stop watch, and while I initially wanted a stop watch I decided that in the end I was very happy to have a watch that didn't. Not having a stop watch means not having additional space on the watch being taken up, and also means a smoother, more classic profile to both the crown and watch face.

The construction of the watch feels superior, and it has held up very well considering the every day wear and tear I subject it to. Initially the watch had minor difficulties with keeping accurate time, but I found that as time went on these problems became less and less pronounced. At this point I end up resetting the minute hand once every three or four weeks, and when I have to do so the watch has only minor variations (no more than three to four minutes off). The band is of nice quality and comfortably molded to my wrist after about a month of normal wear. The watch does have a tendency to slide down my arm, but i suspect this has more to do with my wrist size than the strap. Also, the research I did made me feel comfortable with buying this watch because the movement is considered to be better than many others. Purchasing an authentic Swiss movement can be extremely expensive, and even difficult considering that many companies advertise Swiss movements when they are actually manufactured in countries like China and simply assembled in Switzerland.

This was the first dress watch I have ever bought for myself. I've been wearing it for 2 years now and still love it. It is simple, classy, and looks great with a T shirt or with a suit.

ill keep this short and simple. This watch is nicely crafted and is simple enough for daily use. The warranty only span for 3 years but it looks like it is built to last. The only real part that can get damaged is the crown and it is well protected by design. Go for it if you want a good watch thats fancy yet not too expensive.

It looks fantastic, works amazing and for the money, its quite the watch. It matches all other more expensive watches on looks, functionality and style. Great craftsmanship with enough detail to make it stand out on the wrist. Can't go wrong with a Bulova. Fourth Bulova watch I own and I have never been disapointed.

Movement is great and it keeps the time great. Glass is super clear and fairly scratch resistant. Though i did manage to scratch one of them before. Strap is nice but will wear in about 6 months of day to day use (black finish coming off). Size of face is prefect, i have a tiny wrist and the watch is almost the same size as my wrist but not overly big. I get plenty of complements and people see bulova they think 300$. Just like every Bulova the build quality is amazing and the Luminous for the watch is the best i have ever seen. It actually works and works for a long time at night!
