This solidly built Bulova men's watch is a classic. At about 43mm total width, it has heft but not so much as to be too big for smaller bones. The dial face is white with exquisite roman numerals which appear to glint from black to blue when moved in the light. Although the hands are luminescent, the application is very fine, and the hands do not hold their brightness for very long. If one wants a reasonably priced, dressy watch, this Bulova is sure to impress.

I have 5 watches in current rotation, and this is hands-down the nicest looking. Classy, well-built, and surprisingly durable, I can't recommend this watch highly enough.

I just got this watch yesterday, so it may fall apart tomorrow. Still, I had to come here to brag about how good it looks. The pictures don't do it justice at all. This thing shines, and the detail is great. My favorite part is the texture on the links. This is a great watch if you want just a little bit of flash. Plus, it's just big enough to be a "big" watch without making you look like showoff. I love it!

I've had this watch almost a year now and still love it. I only have two watches, so I've worn this one a lot, maybe three times a week on average. I haven't been extremely careful with it, but it doesn't have many scratches at all. It still holds my interest. I'd still highly recommend this watch.

I bought this watch for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loves watches, and since I could not afford to get him a $1,000+ watch I decided I had a budget of around $300. Let me tell you, I looked at a ton of watches, but none of them really stood out to me. When I saw this watch on Amazon I thought it looked great. Different than other watches, especially with the blue roman numerals. The price was also great ($230), so I ordered it.

When it arrived I was so surprised how great it looked in person. It is really high quality.. the middle links are lightly brushed, the face is so shiny and the glass is really clear, and the roman numerals shine from blue to black. My boyfriend absolutely loves it. He wears it nearly every day, as this watch looks good with anything-- from jeans and a t-shirt to professional attire. He says he gets compliments on it all the time -- it's a real stand-out.

This watch is priced so reasonable...If you think you like the look of it, order it! You will not regret it!

I'm a watch freak - I have a lot of watches. I bought this one because it had an interesting design and a reasonable price. I must say, that it looks even better than the picture. It really shines! I have several watches with list prices 2-3x this one, but I have to say that this one looks just as good as them. I'll be wearing it a lot.

this watch is a very classy and beautiful piece that i am sure will last for many many years. it is a nice weight, and a nice size, and the time is easily read, etc. it really is just a timeless classic watch, with intricate details. i love it and would recommend it to anyone

I was having a hard time deciding between this watch and Bulova's 96a100 automatic watch [.....], so I decided to get them both. Automatic's nice because you never need a better, but in my experience, quartz is much more accurate. So I didn't care either way. I'm normally not into watches like this. I like a classy, symmetrical, simple watch. No colors or anything whacky. But for some odd reason, I couldn't help but have a mysterious desire to see this 96c38 on my wrist. Now I wouldn't say I have small wrists, but I'm definitely a smaller person, and the automatic watch was huuuuge. It was definitely a beautiful watch, but it looked like it rose about half an inch of my wrist, due to the automatic mechanism in it. Not only that but it's case stretched from one side of my wrist to the other, and it felt like it weighed a pound. I liked it a lot but I don't thing I could ever feel very comfortable with it on, let alone forget I'm wearing it.
Then I opened the box to this one. The first thing you notice is the detail. The band has that little "line" design, I suppose you'd call it. And it really is a huuge subtle difference (if you know what I mean). It's dial is beautiful and like others said, the roman numerals fade from blue to black. It's just enough so that it catches your eye, but it isn't like a vivid color that could clash with anything. Basically what I'm saying is, you could be wearing all red and this watch and it wouldn't look strange at all. The case is where this watch really takes the cake. The case is the most beautiful work of art I've ever seen. It has such fine detail unlike anything else in the price range or even on the market for that matter. Comparing this to a $7000 Rolex will make the Rolex's case look plain and dull. Then I put the watch on. This is my first watch with a metal band, normally I like leather straps, but I was amazed to find this watch 100x more comfortable than any leather band. I obviously had to remove some links (all you have to do is find something like a really skinny nail, and push it against the pins in the links in the direction of the arrow on the underside. There will be some resistance, don't be afraid to really push!) but afterward it felt snug around my wrist with no pinching, squeezing, or chafing. The case was flat against my wrist, muchhhhhh better than the automatic. I've fallen asleep with this on a few times already. And it's Bulova quartz movement, so obviously it's accurate. I received it about half a month ago and its still strikes the 0 second mark at the exact same moment as my phone. If you're having a hard time deciding, just get it. You can always return it for a full refund, so you literally have no reason not to at least see what it's like in person. Hope I helped!

I loved this watch the moment I had seen it, I had skipped buying this watch because of the size as I felt 40mm would be a big watch. I then suggested the watch to one of my friend and he liked it as well and ordered it immediately. When he received his watch he was so excited and happy and thanked me profusely, after seeing it even I placed my order immediately and got this shining dazzling beauty in my hand. It is just too good. The roman figures give it a Cartier look and the shine on the bracelet just make every one notice the watch. A dressy watch for this goes on any attire. If you are thinking of gifting yourself with a watch then buy this one you won't regret. The price too is reasonable.

The design is so beautiful because it is inspired on the Cartier model that has the exquisite design of the french house. If you add to this the american technology of the first brand to be in the NASA instruments plus the japanese quartz know-how you get a bomb. That is why it is a 3 year warranty watch, not many can say that. Great buy, no doubts about that. Ounce you put it in your wrist and it keeps shining you know it's a great choice.

I gifted it to my dad and he liked it.. I am happy for buying this one!
