The Bulova Story

In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch.

Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television ads were declaring, "America runs on Bulova time." In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch, and the first breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have kept official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams.

Today, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in technology and design, offering a diverse collection of beautiful precision timepieces for every occasion.

I just got this watch in the mail. I ordered it from here and paid $118 which is an excellent deal. Immediately after receiving the watch, I went to the mall and got it sized. The fit of the watch is perfect and it contours around my wrist very well. I wanted a watch which would not come in the way of my long sleeve shirts and this works well. The depth of the watch is thin and this is what I was looking for. The only thing is that the watch maybe too small for large wrists. I am about 5'8 and 170 lbs. so this watch looks pretty good on my wrists, although since I'm used to bulky, large watches, it looked small at first. This is a very comfortable and beautiful timepiece. Enjoy.

Very beautiful watch from a respected company. Even more attractice in person. Very nice packaging and fast free shipping during the holiday. Couldn't even find it in the stores but got it in just a couple of days in the mail.

I really like this watch. I wear it nearly every day. It's slim, light, and stylish. But it's not without its issues. Upon getting it the backing kept falling off. I finally took some needle nose pliers and bent the plate holders and dabbed it with some super glue. No problems with falling off, but who knows how I'll ever get the back off to change the battery.

The band has just recently started giving me issues after a year and a half. Anytime it gets wet or I sweat a lot if turns my skin black. Really gross as it gets all over my hands and wrist and leaves nasty smudges on clothing. No problem if it stays dry, though.

As stated, I really like this watch and would give it a 5 without hesitation if it weren't for those two issues.
