The Bulova Men's Marine Star Mechanical Hand-Wind Automatic Black Dial Watch's black-and-silver-tone stainless steel band lends a sporty feel to this fine, automatic watch. A stainless steel case is topped by a black, coin-edge bezel. Silver-tone-and-white bezel details feature Arabic numeral and stick minute markers. A black dial offers cut-outs that form a pinwheel design to reveal the working gears of this handsome automatic timepiece. Luminescent hands and luminescent, square hour indicators, as well as white stick minute markers, round out the dial. This automatic watch presents in a Bulova gift box and is water resistant to 330 feet (100 M).
The Bulova Story
In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch.
Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television ads were declaring, "America runs on Bulova time." In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch, and the first breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have kept official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams.
Today, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in technology and design, offering a diverse collection of beautiful precision timepieces for every occasion.

Watches are one of the few things I collect and like to spoil myself with. Recently, my wife bought me this watch, only in the silver version, for my 28th birthday. I instantly loved the look, design and feel of it. However, I have several silver watches already, which is when I saw the same watch in the black color. It's unique looking, solidly built, and has a great weight to it without being too cumbersome. The black look really attracts attention and it's unlike any watch I have. This is the only Bulova watch I own, and it's the least expensive of my collection, but it instantly became one of my favorites. For the price, this watch is fantastic and I recommend it for anyone.. watch enthusiasts or novices alike, you can't go wrong with this one. I have not had it long enough to evaluate the automatic time keeping aspect.. But I will say that if you don't wear it for a week or so and the time is off, it's very easy to re-set the time and will only take a few seconds.. I don't see this being an issue at all.

Watch arrived very quickly & looks great. I have had it for a month & it has not lost or gained any time. It also will run for almost 48 hours without winding.

Love the look but it seems every few days im about 5 min off,not that big of a deal but for the money and name you expect perfection.
