Dual, silver-tone stripes stand out against the black stainless steel band of the Bulova Men's Marine Star Black Dial Watch for an athletic look. A stainless steel case houses a coin-edge, stainless steel bezel that's imprinted with black Arabic numeral and stick minute markers, while a black dial displays a tachymeter ring that frames luminescent bar hour indicators, white stick minute markers, and three subdials. Skeleton hands and a date window at the three o'clock round out the dial of this sporty timepiece. This watch is presented in a Bulova gift box and is water resistant to 330 feet (100 M).
The Bulova Story
In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch.
Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television ads were declaring, "America runs on Bulova time." In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch, and the first breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have kept official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams.
Today, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in technology and design, offering a diverse collection of beautiful precision timepieces for every occasion.

I have now had this watch for a year. It is as good as day one. Completely safe for swimming/showering. Face and band have not scratched, all colors remain true. Time and date are accurate. The stopwatch feature measures down to the tenth of a second. I own about 18 watches and this continues to be one of my favortes; not cheap, but a value at the price.

Watch works flawlessly and looks even better. Get comments everyday on it and it's definately an eye catcher. Watch is a large frame which is exactly what I wanted, but you have a small hand or don't care for a large watch then it may not be the one for you!
