The watch presents on a handsome and durable steel link bracelet with goldtone accent pieces and a fold-over push-button clasp with safety. Other notable features of this watch include a screw-down caseback and Japanese quartz movement. This Bulova watch is rated water resistant to 100 meters.

The Bulova Story

Timex

In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch.

Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television ads were declaring, "America runs on Bulova time." In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch, and the first breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have kept official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams.

Today, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in technology and design, offering a diverse collection of beautiful precision timepieces for every occasion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautfiul watch! absolutely great price!, January 11, 2007

This review is from: Bulova Men's 98D18 Marine Star Diamond Accent Watch (Watch)
This watch can be found in any fine jewelry store. The retail price was $425 and the lowest they would go was $300. Amazone had offered this watch for $233 and that included the insured shipping! It was for my daughter's boyfriend (from her) and everyone that has seen it is amazed by it's absolute beauty and quality. Bulova has a great reputation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great as always, April 6, 2008
I didn't know that Bulova had a bad review. These are the best quality watches that are made. I have one that is 14 years old and one that is 4 years old and and this one and they all are running great and all I have ever had to do is change the battery.

Swwweeeeeetttt

1.0 out of 5 stars I've owned 2 Bulova Watches, May 22, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bulova Men's 98D18 Marine Star Diamond Accent Watch (Watch)
My first lasted 8 years in every environment. I loved it! Until my son took a hammer to it.

So I bought the watch above. No doubt this is a pretty watch, but I brought it in the pool once and its had water in it ever since. The interior is ruined.

I thought it was just condensation but theres clearly a problem with it.

Resist up to 100 meters huh. They need to take Marine out of the name.
