The Bulova Story

In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch.

Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television ads were declaring, "America runs on Bulova time." In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch, and the first breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have kept official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams.

Today, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in technology and design, offering a diverse collection of beautiful precision timepieces for every occasion.

Excellent watch. Picture doesn't do it justice. Purchased for Mother's Day. She said, " Everytime I look at it I think of you..." And it is sharp to look at. Buy it!!

Update, 1 Year later:
I recently drove up and visted my Mom. This watch is still something she treasures, it's obvious. I caught her glancing at it, and straightening it more frequently than you would expect considering she has owned it for a year. I will admit, my past of poor gift-giving and thoughtlessness might be adding to her cherishing of this fine time piece as a token of the one time her son GOT IT RIGHT. But, even with a past riddled with gifts such as coffee cup warmers, ill-constructed wall knick-knacks, and of course...gift cards to stores she's never stepped foot in...I still maintain that (for the money) you will not find a better contructed and better looking watch hre or anywhere else.

My son bought this for me and I love it! Every time I look at it, I hear his name and think about how much I miss him. It's a beautiful watch and I have had so many compliments on it. I have to admit, it makes me happy to be able to brag that my son bought it for me. With the 2 tone metals, it goes with all of my jewelry, whether yellow gold or white gold. It's maintained it's beauty for the last 1 1/2 years and keeps perfect time. I wear it every day. I love my son and his thoughtfulness.

I did some extensive research before purchasing this beautiful timepiece. This watch had everything on my list: perfect face size, no calendar, a bit of diamond sparkle in the hour markers that makes it suitable for everyday wear or a bit dressier -- but most of all, the Amazon price is incredible, and less than anywhere else! I've been wearing it happily since I received it and had it sized to fit around my wrist. Perfecto!
