My husband and I received this clock as a wedding gift in 1999. It still looks and works as good as the day we received it. It is beautiful! The wood looks and feels like dark cherry silk. Very exquisite!! Someone else would love this as a gift..... just saying.

I just received this mantel clock from Amazon.It is DEFINITELY NOT RADIO CONTROLLED as stated in the product description. Otherwise, it is a beautiful, elegant clock and I will probably keep it. The wood finish is beautiful, and the angled wood facets on either side of the clock face add aesthetically to its suitability for a mantel, IMHO. It is not silent, but the ticking sound is fairly quiet.

This is a furniture grade piece. It exudes quality. It is a little on the darker side as far as color goes. It is cherry with black highlights, but even the cherry is a darker stain. It is very nice and I would buy it again.
