Not very precise, but looks good
on February 9, 2013
My first mistake is that I bought a Citizen Eco-Drive Perpetual watch a few months before buying this watch. That watch is very precise and is very well made with all metal parts inside the movement. If I had nothing to compare the Bulova to, I would just assume that this is how "nice" watches look. Anyway, on to the Bulova:
This watch has plastic-looking internals, and the second hand almost never matches up to any of the tick marks. When you adjust the time, the minute arm moves (normal), but the second hand and hour hand also move slightly (not normal). It reminds me of a cheap wall clock that you get for $5.
HOWEVER, all that aside, the exterior is well made and the watch looks great. The strap is very high quality- even better than the Citizen that I am comparing it to. So, if you are looking for a watch that looks good, this is definitely a good choice. I just wouldn't pay too much for it since it's probably an entry-level Bulova, or at least I hope so because if all their watches are this low quality, I don't know how they get the high prices for them that I see in stores.
