I ordered this watch as a little holiday gift for myself. The watch arrived tastefully presented on a pillow inside a well packaged gift box. I liked the look of the watch when I saw it online but I absolutely loved it when I saw it in person. The gold colour of the band will compliment any skin colour while the mother of pearl face plays with light to enhance whatever you might be wearing. The diamonds are eyecatching without being gawdy to give a look that can easily go from day to evening, jeans to little black dress. If you like a substantial watch with presence, consider this one.

A woman needs presence to pull off this gorgeous, but massive, watch from Bulova! Presence is a subjective quality that's related to self-confidence, bearing and style. This is not a watch for the faint of heart!

The watch itself is stunning with 22 diamonds on the bezel, a mother of pearl dial, and a diamond pavé outline on the inner dials. If you think a watch that is huge and sparkles like the sun sounds gaudy - avoid this.

Small boned or petite women may want to note that the curved, semi-rectangular watch is 1.5 inches long. At the widest point across the bezel to the edge of the stem is also 1.5 inches tapering down to 1 inch on either end. The band is approximately 3/4 inch wide. On a small wrist, this is going to look like a dinner plate or your father's watch (if your father was accessorized by Liberace).

Despite Bulova's big advertising push touting themselves as an old American company founded by an immigrant Czech watchmaker, this watch has a movement that comes from Japan and a band that is made in China. The band has the sort of clasp you usually find on wide metal watchbands - when unclasped the bracelet gets wider but never fully opens. This clasp is a little difficult to open because there is no release on the top; you have to hook your finger under the band and pull the hinged piece.

The massive on line discount is a big factor in this decision. The watch has a retail tag of $599.00 - must be the diamonds. I'd say the overall quality of the watch compares favorably to a gold tone stainless steel ESQ watch I recently bought at a local jeweler for about $250. That watch does not have the flashy glitz of this Bulova, but the quality of the gold tone steel is about the same. I was concerned about ordering the Bulova on line that the gold tone would be an unnatural shade (too brassy or too white), but it's fine.

If you're looking for something marvelously dressy but a bit more conservative and/or smaller scale, try Bulova Women's Diamond Gold-Tone Steel Watch #98R72.

Overall, this watch is highly recommended if you can pull it off!

I like the look of the watch, but the problem is getting it off. It has such a difficult closure, that I can hardly get it on by my self. Its also had to find the open/ closure.

I truly LOVE this watch!! Its really pretty and elegant. What the people here have said about it is a mens watch, thats absolutly NOT true!! Its a very nice ladies watch!!! The closure is not that difficult!

I adore this watch! All my friends love my watch, they had given me a lot of compliments for it. Its really an eye catcher. The bracelet is very nice, you can't see the closure from outside, so its looks very classy. The case is also very pretty with the mother of pearl, the contrast with the gold is very nice. The diamonds en cristals looks also very nice, its nice en not TOO shimmery but just enough.

No...this watch is really great! I have no complaints about it. It deserves a 10!

For sure is not a man's watch (as told by other review). And not a teen's watch also. It is an elegant lady's watch. Better then the picture.
The closure is not so bad. You learn quickly how to deal with it. (Ask for help when you take it to be ajusted if you have difficulty).
It is a medium size watch. Not too big, not too small. Perfect for me.

A gift for my wife. I hit a homerun! Her opinion is, "it is beautiful." My opinion is the quartz engine is superb! I am pleased with my purchase.

This watch is absolutely beautiful. I had been eyeing it for awhile for my girlfriend. I finally bought it at a great price. I could actually bring it to a jeweler who would pay me twice what I bought it for! But then my girlfriend would kill me because she absolutely loves it. Shipping was super fast. My boyfriend purchased this watch for my birthday, and I seriously could not be happier. It's even more stunning in person. The gold tone stainless steel is perfect, not too brassy, and there's just the right amount of sparkle. The watch is mid size at 32mm, definitely a statement piece but not uncomfortably large. The clasp is a little tough to figure out---even stumped my jeweler briefly--but was easy after the first time. The reviewers having long term issues with it probably need to add a couple links, as the clasp requires you to slide a finger under the band and pull up. But IMO, it doesn't detract from the watch at all. So, so, so happy!

This is a large, striking ladies watch. I work in the fashion advertising industry in NYC and I love it. But if dainty is what you are seeking, this is not the right watch for you.

I just got mine today and was puzzled and then very disappointed when I saw how the band/clasp is made.

When I put the watch on its a tight fit to get it over my hand (if you had no thumb you'd be ok!) but once you get it "over the hump" it is way to loose. No big deal you say, "take it to a jeweler to have links removed"

Well I already thought of that but then I worry that it will be even harder to get on. It is a hidden clasp called a "deployment clasp"
The watch and band is connected so it is always a closed circle. I really wish this had been shown in the pictures!

Once you have it on, it is a pain in the you know what to release the clasp and take it off.

The watch is BIG and heavier than any watch I have ever worn so if you are a small boned person, this would look mammoth on your wrist. It is still very feminine and the diamonds are just gorgeous so overall I give it a 4 star review

I truly love the look of the watch but I think I am going to have to return it or resell ;-(
