Product Description

Powdering is a centuries-old technique that Bb. session stylist Laurent Philippon made modern. These magic, multipurpose sprays create instant fullness, enhance color, blend roots, add grip (when pinning up) and dry cleanse (for over-zealous product use or extending a blow-dry). For darker blondes - golden, honey or caramel - and lighter brunette (may be used to deepen pale blonde).

I came across this product, and thought I'd give it a try, especially to cover a few grey roots. I have to say that it is very easy to use, and it works exactly as described. Overall, it's a very good product to use to cover gray and roots.

I'm a dark blonde (at least I think I am), and I couldn't give the product a 5th star because I don't think the color is at all blonde. It's really a light brown. I then tried the white version, for light or platinum hair, and it was way too light - aged me 40 years on the spot by putting white hair in.

I would love it if Bumble and Bumble could come up with a new shade in between light brown/"blondish" and white.

Note: I have dry hair, and since this is a powder it is definitely drying (it would be perfect for oily and thin hair). I'd be willing to put up with it, though, if I could get a shade that works with my color.

A hair stylist used this on me and I had to buy it. My hair is older (60) very fine and limp. It's amazing for thickening and masking my scalp. It's a bit like spray paint for the hair. It makes my hair manageable after washing and makes styling a breeze. It will leave color on the scalp but I brush it with a toothbrush to even it out. I know it sounds strange but I love this stuff. I do suggest having a stylist who has worked with it before show you how to use it. It's the best "dirty hair" product I've ever tried. And it works as a dry hair shampoo too. Though I love the Ojon dry shampoo best.

Bumble reformulated the hair powders. This new formula is sheer, does not cover roots well. I've been using Blondish for about ten years. I loved it. If you want the original formula, search for a salon that still has it in stock. This new formula says "A bit of Blondish," rather than the original which was "Blondish."

Bumble and Bumble hair powder works for all hair types, but if you have fine hair it is a MUST have.

The powder is an all in one styling tool. It offers unbelievable volume by spraying it on your roots and is a fabulous texturizer. The powder sucks up scalp oils and is finally letting me go multiple days without washing my hair. Us fine-haired gals know our hair looks sooo much better between washings. Bonus, this powder, offered in various shades, helps to hide any grays you might have at your roots.

I have tried other, less expensive, products as well as baby powder for similar effects but this Bumble and Bumble product has met my needs well beyond my expectations. It is worth the high price tag and you can cut out other separate volumizing and texturizing products to offset.

My stylist recommended this product to me as an alternative to shampooing every day. I love the fact that it is "spray in" as opposed to the powder that you put on a brush -- makes it a much neater process.

When you do use it, be sure to hold the spray a good 12 inches from your hair so it doesn't look like spray-painted "blobs" and you get a more even (natural) color distribution.

Bumble & Bumble reformulated their hair powders in early 2014 making them virtually useless. Old version was great, I used the "Blonde" shade for 10 yrs - it seamlessly covered roots & bald spots due to thinning hair. One can lasted 6+ months. New version ("Blondish") is TERRIBLE, does NOT cover roots or mask thinning areas. I also tried the "Brown" shade, same problem. The product is worse than a cheap can of Batiste Hint of Color.

This new B&B hair powder is completely transparent. And now I'm out $80. Why did they mess with such a great product?! Luckily Sephora let me return one can, girl said "we've been having a lot of complaints about the new version." They no longer recommend B&B hair powder. She said Rita Hazan Root Concealer is way better and let me make an exchange. Also just bought Gray Away Root Concealer to test as well from Bed,Bath/Beyond.

This product is super potent....so make sure you only apply a small amount, and to the root area only! It does give body and lift to my roots, however I must a gree with the other review I read in regards to the blondish color being quite dark. I have medium blonde hair, and it does make it look like my roots need to be done when useing this prodouct. Bumble and Bumble need to lighten up the color since it is for blondes.....we don't want to look light to medium brown at our roots! The effects of this product are good, but just be careful to only apply a small amount

I have used several kinds of hair powder for my gray roots. This is, by far, the best I've tried. I bought one in a compact and disliked it. The powder would clump up and not cover much of an area. It was a mess. i tried another spray but it wouldn't cover the gray without spraying several times. It seems expensive but saves money in the long run. I can go longer without having my hair colored and highlighted.
