As the victim of a bad dye-job, I've tried every type of shampoo and conditioner, from over-the-counter to "salon approved" and NOTHING seemed work well for my color treated hair.

For a while I was using Redkin's Color Extended line (recommended by my stylist), but it began making my hair look and feel like a rat's nest. So, in an act of sheer desperation, I took the advice of a friend who suggested that I try using something from the Bumble & Bumble line. I've always been a bit hesitant in the past, mainly because of the price and availability. A measly 8 oz bottle of shampoo can cost an upwards of $45, depending on what you decide to use. Plus B&B isn't quite as 'main stream' as Redken, Paul Mitchell, Aveda or any of the other array of designer products that I have tried in the past. In other words, it may be difficult to locate a salon that carries their products.

I ended up going with the 8 oz. B&B Gentle Shampoo and Super Rich Conditioner, which I purchased online. Total cost: a little over $50. But, I am pleased to say that it has turned out to be money well spent. Fortunately, the conditioner is just what it says it is: super rich, so not much of it is needed to fully saturate the hair (this coming from someone whose hair length reaches about mid-back).

Bottom line: While it may be costly, it's well worth the money...especially if your hair is in desperate need of a little TLC.

Good product for my hair which is oily but chemically treated every six weeks. My sister swears by it and buys it in bulk. It didn't make my hair tangle free which I was surprised by but still worth trying it out.

The title says it. Best stuff ever. I didn't believe in expensive salon crapola until my new cut and dye job started getting a little ... crispy. Desperate, I bought the Gentle Shampoo and Super Rich Conditioner by recommendation of my friends, and now I'm actually one of those people that has a good hair day pretty much every day. The ones you want to kill ... or at least, hold down and smack until all hair secrets are revealed (upon such an occurence, you would mercifully release them back into the wild).
