5.0 out of 5 stars Soft, Waterproof & Machine-Washable
Being a first time mom, we'd been using standard terry cloth type bibs even during solid food feedings. We were accumulating stained bibs despite our best efforts to stain-treat them when I remarked to my husband it'd sure be nice if they made waterproof ones we could just rinse off and reuse. Voila! Not only are the Bumkins Waterproof SuperBibs waterproof and machine...

1.0 out of 5 stars not the same since production moved to China
These bibs used to be the greatest, thin, silky, completely waterproof and super-fast-drying material. But the company moved production from the US to China and it is just not the same now. It is waterproof, but the stiffness causes it to get in the baby's way and because it doesn't flow over baby's lap, more food ends up on the clothes. But if you can find one of the...

This review is from: Bumkins Waterproof SuperBib 3-Pack - Girl Elements Prints (Baby Product)
Being a first time mom, we'd been using standard terry cloth type bibs even during solid food feedings. We were accumulating stained bibs despite our best efforts to stain-treat them when I remarked to my husband it'd sure be nice if they made waterproof ones we could just rinse off and reuse. Voila! Not only are the Bumkins Waterproof SuperBibs waterproof and machine washable, they are still soft against baby's skin unlike some of the thicker plastic/rubber bibs out there. They are also generously sized so they will fit our little one's neck as she (rapidly) grows, whereas some of her original terry cloth bibs are already too tight.

The price is a little high for just 3 bibs but they clean up so quickly and easily you may get by with far fewer than traditional cloth bibs. You literally can rinse off the soiled bib under the tap in your kitchen sink, scrunch it up to wring out any water, lay it out and it'll be dry in an hour or less. And they hold up great in a washer and dryer (we wash them along with the rest of our little one's clothing, gentle cycle, and you don't really need to put them in the dryer.)

We love the Keith Haring Bumkin bibs. Not only are they functional but they are fashionable. They are much better than the other conventional bibs out there that are stiff.

We have had these bibs now for 4 months and use them at least 3 times a day. They show no signs of wear yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Bibs!, April 1, 2007
Excellent Bibs. They cover a large area, the velcro lasts forever (unlike others we've used), the pouch at the bottom is great, and saves many a spill.

5.0 out of 5 stars Durable, easy-washing, fast-drying bib!, June 14, 2007
The fabric is thin, but waterproof and durable. It easily replaces Pampers disposable bibs for us. When we use it in a restaurant, I just take it to the bathroom afterwards and wash it with warm water and soap. Then I strap it onto the strap of my diaperbag and it's dry by the time we get home! Or, if the bathroom has an air dryer, it's mostly dry with just one cycle. I fold it in quarters and put it back in the diaper bag - it takes up no room at all.

The pocket was well-designed and stays open, not like the cheap bibs where the width of the pocket equals the width of the bib, and thus is flush against the bib and catches nothing.

The velcro is high quality and I can see it lasting a long time. Having a little girl with long hair, I greatly appreciate the velcro being on the side of the bib. I used to pull hair and velcro hair into the bib when opperating the velcro on our old bibs.

The fabric is not laminate and will not crack. I see this bib lasting us a long, long time. Well worth the extra money.

We love these bibs. They wash up easily and fold up really small for easy packing. They're soft, light, and totally water proof.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best bibs ever!, March 22, 2010

There are just a few products that I think are worth buying "name brand" and these Bumkins bibs are one of them. They are soft, and flexible... and more importantly, launder extremely well!!! No matter how many times you wash them, they don't crack or get nasty. We bought a set for baby #1, and have used them 2 years. I've liked this brand so much, we're buying another set for baby #2 :O) For babies on a liquid diet or for feeding soups, an "absorbent" bib would be a better choice. But these are perfect for solid feeding. Highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bibs!, July 23, 2008
These bibs have been great for us as our son has started eating baby food. The other cloth bibs we had for bottles only were just soaking up the food and there was LOTS of laundry. These bibs wipe off easily and are big enough to cover a large area. The pocket is also great for snacks like cheerios - some of them end up in the pocket instead of on the floor. My only complaint is that I wish the velcro was a little stronger and maybe in the back instead of the side. My son can rip the bib off when he really wants to...

5.0 out of 5 stars These bibs really hold up, September 6, 2010
I am the mother of three children and have used many different brands of bibs. At first I purchased the "cheap" plastic bibs, but those cracked and split and ripped. When someone finally gave me a Bumkins bib with my first child, I was hooked. They are comfortable for the child and they really hold up well. My third child is now wearing bibs and I have some Bumkins Bibs that are over 4 years old and still holding up! The only down-side to these bibs is that they can get moldy and smelly in the laundry if they sit there wet. So, I normally just wash them in the sink quickly after each meal and hang them up to dry. One thing that is great too is a bib drying rack where you can hang them up to dry next to your sink. There is a mom-invented bib drying rack that is made in the USA. That is the only thing that could make your Bumkins Bibs even more perfect.

This was my 2nd bumkins bibs purchase, and these ones are a little bit thicker than the girly 3 pack version we first purchased. Both have their purpose, but really they are the best bibs! So easy to clean, and they actually catch a ton of food (vs. others with catchers that seem to miss food as it falls)
