Pretty, cheap, and relatively effective,

These wraps are very nice looking and they have an extra little flap around the thigh holes to keep things in, which I like a lot. They are also not too costly compared with the other covers I have looked at. However, the fabric around the thigh holes wicks the wettness out and onto the baby's clothes if you don't change the diaper immediately after the baby wets. Because of this, I don't use these covers overnight, rather, I stick to the old fashioned vinyl pants over a pinned diaper. Also, you aren't supposed to have to pin the diaoer under these covers, but just fold the diaper into a rectangle and fasten the wrap over it. But, I find that my 2 month old wiggles enough to get the daiper all bunched up between her legs so that poop gets everywhere and I can't reuse the cover until its washed. I tried pinning the daiper like I do under the vinyl pants but that makes it too bulky around the thighs for the wrap to cover it. The best solution I have come up with is to flare out the front and back of the diaper so that it wraps snugly around the baby's waist and then carefully wrapping the cover around her waist over top and then fastening it. This works pretty well but it takes a little longer to change the diaper. Overall i like these covers, but I haven't decided whether or not to buy the next size up. I am hoping they work a little better when my baby gets bigger and fills them out more.

My son was born 4 weeks early so was small. Before he was born I had purchased some Thirsties covers in a couple different sizes. They worked ok, but were very bulky for him. These super brite covers were the only ones I found that came in a really small size, the 4-9 pound size. I use Bummis prefolds and this size matches up perfectly with their 4-9 lb size prefold. I find they do work better if I close the diaper with a snappi rather than just fold it inside the diaper. I don't find that they leak, even over night, but the fabric around the legs and on the inside front does get wet. I usually switch back and forth between a couple covers for a few changings so one can dry while another one is on. Then put them both in the diaper pail after a couple changings. I plan to order more of these in the next size up when I need them.

ok, not great,
This review is from: Bummis Super Brite Diaper Cover, Green, 8-16 Pounds (Baby Product)
These are fine. I didn't like them as much as Thirsties because of the fit, but that will vary from baby to baby. My biggest problem with these is the fabric lining around the leg holes wicks moisture if you don't change it IMMEDIATELY after baby wets. They hold in messy diapers well, but not pee.

It really is true, you get what you pay for. I am new to cloth diapering and have only used the plain white covers provided by my diaper service. I was excited to try something new and the Bummis cover has such a cute design. After about 2 weeks of use and washing exactly as instructed it no longer seems water proof. The leg seems are always wet and leave a red mark on my baby if left on for more then one change and these are the only covers I have had consistent leaks with. I'm glad they were cheap, no big loss but would not buy these covers again and do not recommend them.

Great Cover!,

This diaper cover it is one of my favorites. It hardly EVER leaks, fits perfect and washes great!!! My only minor complaint is that you are not suppose to soak it and I always rinse my diapers and put them in a pail of water and soap until I have enough for a full load, but with this one you have to rinse it and then have a seperate pail for dry. Overall, very satisfied and will buy more when I need the next size!

favorite prefold covers,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are by far my favorite prefold covers - comfy for baby, easy to care for, durable, and no leaks so far. Even with the extra-smalls a dipe and a multi-layer doubler were no problem to squeeze in for naps. The edging has pilled-up a teeny bit, but I think this has been remedied with newer batches of covers (a friend is a tester for Bummis, and has some of the newer pill-free ones). Super whisper wraps come in at a close second, but I like the extra gusset on these.

I like it but...,
This review is from: Bummis Super Brite Diaper Cover, Green, 4-9 Pounds (Baby Product)
I really like this cover but I've only been using it for about two months and it's already starting to delaminate. I've mostly thrown it in the dryer on low with the rest of my diapers but this Bummis seems to be only one effected. My Econobum and Thristies covers have been in use longer and they are still like new.

These wraps are great as far as price, but the material does not have as much "movement" as others as well as the interior lining has a very plastic like feel to it, which in my mind sort of defeats the purpose of cloth diapers. As far as this compared to the Thirsties snap I use the Thirsties as the seen to have a softer and more pliable fit to them.

I like this cover because it covers even large fitted diapers plus the aplix in higher quality than some other covers.

I'm actually using this for my son, just turned 5, potty-trained since 28 mo, but has night-time bladder control problems. Seems to run in the family. But with these (Bummis cover and prefolds), he's now staying dry most nights as opposed to wetting every night with the pull-ups? Not buying any more disposable diapers! The sizing seems big though. He can even wear the size M ones! He weighs 41 lbs?
