Product Description

Color: Yellow | Size: 27-36 Pounds

The super brite was designed to ensure a perfectly diapered fit – especially for those long, skinny hard-to-fit babies that need a little extra protection around the leg. This gusseted cover closes all the gaps, and you will find the fit of this cloth diaper cover like no other. Our gusset with lycra binding is an innovative design that wraps softly around baby’s leg with a lot less bulk than normal gussets and no elastic to leave marks on baby’s tender skin - only soft form-fitting lycra. The result is a very trim, great looking cloth diaper cover. The super brite is designed to function well with any type of flat or contoured cloth diaper, or any type of pre-formed, velcro or snap-closing cloth diaper. The super brite is lightweight and waterproof. It features a single layer of polyester with a wipe-clean laminated interior. Special features of the Super brite: Very adjustable. Hook and loop closures with an innovative overlap design that ensures a custom fit on any baby. Super-sized fold-back wash tabs to protect your laundry from rogue velcro attacks. A special newborn size with an umbilical cord cut-out that fits teeny tiny babies from 4 pounds. A specialized binding system combining soft, smooth polyester knit bindings with our signature lycra gussets for a comfortable, stretchy fit, and leakproof seal. Super lightweight and trim not bulky at all. Wash and dry at normal temperatures in washer and dryer. Please avoid fabric softeners, chlorine bleach, or any other whitening agents. Be sure to wash and rinse with enough hot water in order to eliminate detergent residue and wash your cloth diapers clean. Your Super Brite should not retain odours, and if it does, please check out our washing information or call us for help.

Very easy to wash, and durable.
A Matter of When
The Velcro is not very soft and one of the stitching on one of the velcro tabs started coming undone.

This cover works great when used with prefolds with a snappi.

These wraps are very nice looking and they have an extra little flap around the thigh holes to keep things in, which I like a lot. They are also not too costly compared with the other covers I have looked at. However, the fabric around the thigh holes wicks the wettness out and onto the baby's clothes if you don't change the diaper immediately after the baby wets. Because of this, I don't use these covers overnight, rather, I stick to the old fashioned vinyl pants over a pinned diaper. Also, you aren't supposed to have to pin the diaoer under these covers, but just fold the diaper into a rectangle and fasten the wrap over it. But, I find that my 2 month old wiggles enough to get the daiper all bunched up between her legs so that poop gets everywhere and I can't reuse the cover until its washed. I tried pinning the daiper like I do under the vinyl pants but that makes it too bulky around the thighs for the wrap to cover it. The best solution I have come up with is to flare out the front and back of the diaper so that it wraps snugly around the baby's waist and then carefully wrapping the cover around her waist over top and then fastening it. This works pretty well but it takes a little longer to change the diaper. Overall i like these covers, but I haven't decided whether or not to buy the next size up. I am hoping they work a little better when my baby gets bigger and fills them out more.

My son was born 4 weeks early so was small. Before he was born I had purchased some Thirsties covers in a couple different sizes. They worked ok, but were very bulky for him. These super brite covers were the only ones I found that came in a really small size, the 4-9 pound size. I use Bummis prefolds and this size matches up perfectly with their 4-9 lb size prefold. I find they do work better if I close the diaper with a snappi rather than just fold it inside the diaper. I don't find that they leak, even over night, but the fabric around the legs and on the inside front does get wet. I usually switch back and forth between a couple covers for a few changings so one can dry while another one is on. Then put them both in the diaper pail after a couple changings. I plan to order more of these in the next size up when I need them.

We bought these covers because we liked them in the "small" size and couldn't decide between these or Thirsties Duo wrap. We like Thirsties a lot and especially like adjustable sizing with Thirsties, but we really like the hook-and-loop closures on these better. They are a roomier diaper than Thirsties, which is great if you like the extra space (we prefer the trimmer fit of Thirsties), but have the leg gussets like Thirsties (lots of diapers don't, and we really like that feature). If these were adjustable in size, they'd be perfect for us! But, they work great as our "back up cover" when all the Thirsties are in the wash! They're a very functional cover (no leaks, ever!) and wash up really great. I'd buy more if I needed them.

I love the way this cover fits my 6-week old, but after only having it for less than a month (I ordered it exactly a month ago), the laminated material has separated from the fabric. With a couple more washes, it will most likely tear and then the cover will start to leak. I'm very disappointed in the quality here.

I have used cloth diapers for two babies so far, and am renewing my stash for a third. These are the only covers I'll be getting. I definitely know that most reviews of cloth diapers are based on personal preference or fit for a particular child. This is no different. My rating is based primarily on range of fit and durability.

FIT:
I have had one VERY slender baby and one VERY chunky baby. These covers fit spectacularly on both kids. The gussets work great. (This is the only reason I prefer the superbrites over the whisper wraps.) They are a bit bulkier than thirsties (what I consider runner-up in this price range) but unlike thirsties, which are very trim, these are able to fit a wide range of diaper styles. I used exclusively snappied prefolds with my first child, but have come to prefer one size pocket fitteds stuffed with prefolds. That's a pretty substantial diaper, and they have no problem handling all that and still being snug around the waist and legs even on my chunky child.

DURABILITY:
With a moderately sized stash, 4-6 covers total in any size, these have made it through two kids before needing to be replaced. About 2 1/2 years total use for my mediums, which fit the longest. I certainly can't say that for the thirsties. They were shot before my first was out of diapers. And I always reached for the bummis if they were clean, so they saw way more action. I would prefer snaps for smalls and mediums, which substantially increase the durability of the cover, but am not willing to trade the fit for it.

These are fine. I didn't like them as much as Thirsties because of the fit, but that will vary from baby to baby. My biggest problem with these is the fabric lining around the leg holes wicks moisture if you don't change it IMMEDIATELY after baby wets. They hold in messy diapers well, but not pee.
