Fantastic cover!!!,

This review is from: Bummis Super Whisper Wrap Cloth Diaper Cover: Small (8.5-15 lbs). (Baby Product)
I am totally a fan of cloth diapering now that I've actually done it. I must admit I was very apprehensive before I actually used them because I thought it would be so much work, but it really amounts to doing a load of laundry every other day... not hard. These diaper covers are fantastic. I have not had a single leak with them. When my daughter was first born, a friend gave us several packs of newborn disposable diapers that we used for the first few weeks, and we had numerous leaks. We actually used the newborn size of Super Whisper Wrap for the first two months and are on the small size now. She was 6 pounds 11 ounces when she was born. I use the chinese prefold diapers with them. I tried two different types of the Gerber prefold, but they're just not as absorbant and were quickly saturated. What sold me on these covers is how I can wash them with diapers when they are soiled and I don't have to hand wash them or anything.

5 Stars for Durability!,
This review is from: Bummis Super Whisper Wrap Cloth Diaper Cover: Small (8.5-15 lbs). (Baby Product)
I got these and the imse vimse covers for my daughter. At first I thought I'd like the IV more, because it seemed as though the fit better around the leg, but I changed my mind quickly. Not only do these fit just fine, but they are MUCH MORE DURABLE! After a few washings, the IV began to loose shape and the velcro began to warp (and I cold water wash and line dry). The BUmmis look just the same as when I got them (except for some stains). These covers will last me through the next few babies, I'm sure of it! My only complaint is that once your baby begins to push the weight limit it takes a little practice to get the velcro tabs to stick right. When my daughter weighed 14lbs. if I didn't fastened the tabs in just the right spot they would come undone, but it didn't take long to figure out and correct. After comparing these covers with others (my IV and the Bummis original the a friend of mine used), these covers COME OUT ON TOP!PS - I did wash the covers in cold water at first to make them last longer, but it's best to wash covers in hot water to disinfect. I started washing the Bummis in hot water (with my diapers) and they're still holding up fine. In response to the other review....these diapers DO have fold back tabs for the laundry. I bought these exact covers from this exact page and mine have them.

There are better options...,

After having tried the Thirsties covers, Proraps and the Bummi Whisper Wraps, the Thirsties win hands down. I've found that the Bummis tend to leak more because there are no gussets around the legs and the layer of cloth that is on the inside actually seems to wick the moisture outside so I end up not only changing the diaper but also my baby's clothes (and sometimes sheets!) whenever I use them. While this may be ok during the day, it is definitely not fun at night! The cloth on the inside also stains easily with poopy diapers so reusing the covers are just not an option as they are with the Thirsties (you can just wipe down the inside and they're ready to go) which means more washing. After only about 2 months of use, the Bummis also seem more worn and old-looking. Overall, I would say--spend your money on another cover. For the same cost, who needs a cover that makes it harder, not easier, to cloth diaper?

This is one of the best covers on the market and great for the price! You can use these with flat or prefolds without using pins or fasteners or it works with a fitted diaper!

These are one of two brands that my daughter does not soak through in the night. They wash up nicely and seem as good as the day I bought them. My only wish is that they had fold back laundry tabs for the velcro. They stick to other things in the wash. I think this puts extra wear on the velcro too.

Good diaper cover,

These are great diaper covers. They seemed huge at first until I got the hang of them. They clean easily and dry fast, no special washing required! I think the elastic feels rough, but my little one doesn't seem to mind and there are no marks on her legs from them. These are great diapers for all kinds of cloth, prefolded and fitted diapers.

I am new to cloth diapering and wasn't sure what route to take. I didn't have enough money to invest in it heavily so I bought some prefolds and flat folds but wanted to get some nicer covers. These have worked wonderfully. They do not leak. I have had more issues with disposables than these. I use them to cover my prefold diapers. They are great and I definitely recommend them. I have now invested in several and would highly recommend them.

Great Size for Newborns,

This review is from: Bummis Super Whisper Wrap Cloth Diaper Cover: Small (8.5-15 lbs). (Baby Product)
We have a cloth diaper service but the covers they sold us are just too big for our 7 pound newborn. We bought two of these covers to tide us over until she fits into the other covers. These Bummis have a small pocket in the front of the diaper for inserting your cloth diaper and this makes placement of the cloth easier. They are quite silky--all polyester--and wash very well. No style seems to contain all the baby poo or keep it on the diaper and not on the cover at all, but these fit well so are doing ok. The velcro tabs allow you to vary the size of the leg hole. This newborn size does fit our baby and I recommend it if your child is tiny or "normal", or just to start with.

These diaper covers are great. They do a fabulous job of preventing leaks and aren't as bulky as Bumkins. The materials used to make the cover seem to be high quality, and the velcro snaps make them very easy to use. We have gone though the newborn size, on to size small, and will probably continue using them all the way through the diapering process.

holds in poo,
By butt wiper "buttwiper" (Aurora, IL) - See all my reviews

Holds in poo pretty well, but gets slightly wet around the inner thigh and sometimes need to change my daughters onsie. We almost always need a new wrap when she poos. We use kisslauvs with it; maybe would have different luck with a different diaper. This worked better than the polar wrap, which soaked through. I prefer the all in one diapers,Bum genius and Kushies are my favorite. (Kushies are best value I think But I prefer Bum genius in general)
