69 eyes are SUCH A WEIRD AND STRANGE BAND. i started getting into this band with the "blessed be" album, which i got because of the "gothic girl" song. the "blessed be" album was so crazy and gothic and dark, i loved it. so i decided to get another cd, something "old" to see how they have evolved. i end up getting this weird nutcase of an album. "bump'n'grind" is NOTHING like "blessed be," and that's not a bad thing. this band has such an original taste and change and evolution. i wasn't even sure it was the right cd at first, because the chance is so dramatic. this album is so 80's punk rock, wayne's world music style. it's NOT gothic at all, it's reminiscent of the ramones, the misfits, sex pistols, etc. this is a glam-rock 80's style album with awesome music. not too heavy or extreme, but nonetheless insane. not exactly why i like 69 eyes, because i prefer their gothic deep vocals, but this is cool. the vocals, different, you wouldn't know it was the same guy.

Although jyrki (thats 'yerkie' for you with terrible skills) doesnt seem to like this album much, its got its high points. even starting off with this cd, they did well with catchy repetitive choruses that will get stuck in your head Barbarella is constantly ringing in my head at work. If you end up liking the rest of what the EYES has to offer, then im sure you'll dig this!
