This well-built Bumper Jumper is a great way for baby to develop leg strength and coordination--all while having a bouncing good time at home. Assembly and setup is very easy; just clamp it above any doorway that has molding and half an inch of flat surface on top, adjust the jumper for height, and you're ready to go. The three-pronged strap dome spreads the hanging straps nicely above the seat, allowing for easy access, and a spongy bumper runs along the outside edge of the sturdy plastic seat. The bumper will protect the trim and woodwork around your doorways, and it has the added benefit of protecting baby's hands should they get caught between the seat and the doorway. Designed for babies up to 25 pounds, the Bumper Jumper can be used from the time your baby can sit up and hold her head upright (about 6 months of age) until she can walk. Measuring 17 inches wide by 18 inches deep, the high-back seat is outfitted with a three-compartment play tray and removable fabric padding that is soft and machine washable. We got this jumper as a gift when my daughter was 2 mos., but she just started using it as she is 6 mos. now. My daughter loves the jumper - she squeals in delight when my husband and I bounce her in the chair. I would recommend this to anyone.

However, I do want to point out that you check the straps to make sure they are secure. My daughter was playing in her jumper when all of a sudden, she fell backwards, hitting her head on the kitchen floor (hardwood). She is OK, but when my husband looked at what happened, he saw that a pin came out which caused the strap to break loose. So, I would suggest that before you put your baby in the seat, check to make sure all pins are secure (to see the pin, you can lift the rubber part off the tray to see if it snaps in place).

I am nervous about putting her back in there, but knowing that she loves it, I probably will, just not so soon.

Despite the recommended age of five months, we put our baby in for the first time at just over two and a half months old (with a towel wrapped around him for support, the seat is pretty wide). He had been standing on our laps with support for several minutes at a time, and we thought he'd enjoy it. The first time we put him in he just sort of dangled there, the next day he moved his feet a bit, and by the end of the week he was jumping away! It became one of his favorite pasttimes.

Because of the seat size and adjustable height, we were able to use this for months. You do have to have a doorway with molding on it to hang it from - we had to put ours in the bathroom doorway, but it was worth the hassle. It's very easy to put up and take down. You can hang toys from rings on either side, and there's a nice tray in front, too (not that you'd want to put snacks on while they're jumping!). This is a great product and I'm looking forward to using it with our new baby.

My son LOVES this jumper! He is a very active baby with lots of energy & is always looking for things to get into. This product has been wonderful. For the longest time he would keep himself busy in his bouncy seat but once he was getting close to crawling the last thing he wanted, was to be stuck sitting in something. From the first time we tried this product it has been entertainment for not only my son, but for my husband & i to watch him in it. He has a blast bouncing up & down & it gives him a chance to be more free. He is 7 months now & crawling everywhere but never minds being picked up & put in his jumper for awhile. He gets so excited every time to go in it. I would highly recommend this product for any baby, especially those who have alot of energy to burn!!
