5.0 out of 5 stars You can almost taste the ocean!, November 9, 2009
This review is from: Bunco Babes Gone Wild (Mass Market Paperback)
This is exactly the kind of fun, funny beach read I love--it makes me feel like I'm sitting at the edge of the water with warm sand between my toes! And with a group of hilarious, warm-hearted girlfriends gossiping around me! I love Geraci's writing, and this followup to her first book totally lives up to the promise she showed there. Georgia is a very relatable heroine, with a difficult past and not always great ways of dealing with it--and Dave! Dave is one of the sexiest, kindest, flirtiest, funniest heroes I've come across in a long time. You will really fall in love with him. All the great characters from Bunco Babes Tell All are back and better than ever, but it's the chemistry between Georgia and Dave that leaps off the page and drags the reader into the world of Whispering Bay, Florida. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars laugh out loud funny, heartwarming, and sexy, November 7, 2009
This review is from: Bunco Babes Gone Wild (Mass Market Paperback)
Georgia Meyer thought she had it all in her boyfriend Spencer Mood--until he made the terrible mistake of giving her a calculator instead of an engagement ring. So Georgia decides to take some time to herself and goes to visit her sister in Whispering Bay, Florida. During her stay, Georgia meets the very sexy Dave Hernandez and finds herself torn between two lovers very quickly. Throw in her new found BFFs the Bunco Babes, a charity fundraiser, and a nanny-cam mishap, and you have a riotously funny, warm, sexy, and very memorable story. Will Georgia stick with the safe choice of her stick-in-the-mud boyfriend or will she take a chance on the sexy, stranger who could turn her organized world upside down?

This book was a gift from a friend in my own Bunco group--she did well! This story of a woman who is on the verge of making major changes in her life meshes well with the secondary story of a small town Bunco group. Unlike books of similar caliber, the author takes some twists and turns to keep us guessing until the end! I can recommend this book for anyone looking for an easy, fun, girly read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes me want to move to "Whispering Bay"!, October 11, 2010

I liked Geraci's first book, "Bunco Babes Tell All," so much I couldn't wait to read her second. It didn't disappoint. The dialogue is laugh-out-loud funny, the characters are fresh and believable and the sub-plots keep the story interesting from start to finish. Although this book definitely stands on its own, I appreciated the fact that the author followed up with some of the characters introduced in the first book. It made the experience of reading the second one even richer. Also, I really like that the setting is in a NW Florida beach town, a refreshing change of setting from many books in the genre. Her next book is already on my Christmas list!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bunco Babes Gone Wild....A Must Read!!!!, August 8, 2010
This review is from: Bunco Babes Gone Wild (Mass Market Paperback)
Maria Geraci sure knows how to write a wonderful story about girlfriends and love. I didn't think she could top Bunco Babes Tell All, but Gone Wild was a blast. I didn't want the book to end, it was so good. Maria can throw together a great story line with laughs and characters that feel like your own girlfriends. I want to pack up my things, move to Whispering Bay and get on the Bunco Babes sub list. DON'T pass this story up!

Geraci has done it again! This book was fun and lighthearted from start to finish--truly a joy to read, especially in the midst of a chilly winter! The author has created such a warm, likable community in this book (as she also did in her debut novel, Bunco Babes Tell All), that by the end of the story, the reader feels she knows not only the lead characters, Georgia and Dave, but an entire town of humorous and delightfully quirky people. Present in the book are themes that touch on the strength of family bonds, the durable nature of true friendship, the balance between responsible adulthood and the pursuit of a passion...in addition to lots of funny dialogue and some hot romance in steamy Florida. I didn't want to leave the characters and the setting when the book was done. I was thoroughly entertained!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Another perfect roll from Maria Geraci, December 3, 2009

This review is from: Bunco Babes Gone Wild (Mass Market Paperback)
My thoughts...Maria once again provides a fun, light-hearted romantic comedy for adult readers. Bunco Babes Gone Wild was every bit as sexy as the first installment, Bunco Babes Tell All. We meet a new character, Georgia, who finds herself in an uncomfortable situation with strangers. Little does she know, it won't be her last. We also meet a sexy, Prince Charming named Dave, but it he her Prince Charming? The original girls are still around mixing margaritas and dishing out gossip. Who knew a dice game could be so sexy?

There was only one thing about this installment that turned me off. It took me a while to warm up to the heroine Georgia. She starts out really snobby and materialistic. After a while, her character started to open up a bit and you could see that she really does have a big heart and good intentions. It was just part of her character, but the superficialness was a turn-off. Maybe it was just her way of protecting herself from others. Overall, this was another great read. I would recommend it to fans of a good light-hearted story (with a touch of sex).

This is the second in the series of Bunco Babes I have read. I loved the first and almost loved the second. I thought the characters in the first book were more developed. All in all, I enjoyed the book. Geraci makes her characters likable and the book is an easy read.

4.0 out of 5 stars lighthearted romp, November 7, 2009
This review is from: Bunco Babes Gone Wild (Mass Market Paperback)
A disappointed Georgia Meyer cannot believe her boyfriend Spencer Moody gave her a calculator for their fifth anniversary. Although he is also her boss, she expected an engagement ring but not something for the office.

Needing time to reconsider their going nowhere relationship, Georgia visits her sister Frida in Whispering Bay, Florida. Frida and her buddies the Bunco Babes welcome Georgia to join them on a Bunco night. They plow her with drinks and soon vino veritas takes place as she tells all to them including her attraction to Dave Hernandez, whom she just met. Sober Georgia must recalculate what she wants out of life.

This is a lighthearted romp that fans will enjoy as Georgia invades Florida only to realize she has to make up her mind who she wants. The Bunco Babes are a solid support crew especially with dice and margaritas while Dave is a well drawn protagonist. Still this warm frolic is owned heart and soul by Georgia as she must roll the dice between being a football widow if he ever asks, a love goddess if he ever asks, and if neither asks a Bunco Babe gone wild.
