Book Description

Bungles the bunny loves chocolate chip cookies...and he's not the only one! Everybody wants to try one of his cookies and for an even trade, they can! Peabody the poor turtle, however, has nothing to trade. One donkey thinks he knows what is best for everyone and it won't be long before Bungles loses his marbles.Soon Bungles the bunny and Peabody the poor turtle are going to know what fairness is all about... Along with a tap-dancing bug and a pair of lemmings, Bungles the bunny is about to begin one crazy adventure! Sean Nelson lives in Castle Rock, Colorado with his wife and kids. The idea of introducing conservative principles to children via Bungles was born one evening in the fall of 2000 as he placed a small stuffed bunny next to his daughter as she fell asleep. In 1993 while serving in the United States Air Force, a famous talk radio host with a TV show challenged Sean Nelson's political beliefs and he transitioned quickly from a liberal to a conservative. He has been an artist for almost twenty years. From a humble beginning of drawing art for his high school newspaper and yearbook to this wonderful children's book, his artwork has taken many forms including a large mural he painted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia depicting an F-16 dedicated to the 34th FS Rams of Hill AFB, Utah.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant technique that exemplifies fairness and the value of hard work., October 30, 2011
This review is from: Bungles Loses His Marbles (Paperback)
This truly is an outstanding book for children. I found it to be an appropriate way to explain personal responsibility and fairness in relation to how we survive in our society today to my 8-year-old. Politics can be extremely boring to children, but the adventure of Bungles and his friends is a fun way for kids to learn the basics of conservatism. This book explicitly portrays the importance of discovering our individual roles in the system in addition to the consequences we face when selecting our leaders. I highly recommend it as a reference for parents who are passing on their political perspectives.

1.0 out of 5 stars Am I the only one who see's something wrong with politically indoctrinating a kid with a fairy tale?, February 5, 2011
This review is from: Bungles Loses His Marbles (Paperback)
This book is garbage. I'm a leftist, but if it was a leftist book I would have a similar reaction. kids aren't meant to be tools of political propaganda, and this is just wrong to try and indoctrinate a child with a fairy tale about rabbits and cookies long before they're even old enough to understand complex economic ideas. Shame on the author of this book. Shame.
