Amazing Product!!!,
This review is from: Bunion Aid, Quantity of 1 (Health and Beauty)
I love it when something is so simple and works so well, for so little money. I work on my feet and had a severe issue with pain due to a bunion on my left foot. I even talked to doctors about an operation. Then a friend of mine mentioned Bunion Aid and I figured it was worth a try. It was worth the try! I wear mine in the evening when relaxing. Within a week it started to feel much better. Now I rarely even think about my bunion during the day. I still where it in the evening because it stretches the toe and feels good. TRY IT, IT WORKS...

Love the Bunion Aid splint. I wear it mostly at home and at night. It fits in my Merrell shoes. Felt pain relief almost immediately. Highly recommended.

Bunion Aid Splint,

I ordered this product since my bunions have been killing me lately. Upon arrival the splint was already set up (Good since I am not that good with directions) The splint works well but it is stated that you can wear the splint with all shoes which is difficult. The only shoes that seem to work with the bunion aid brace is Isotoner slippers. The side of the splint sticks out and also the top area presents problems when trying to get shoes on. I have even tried Tennis shoes/sneakers/Trainers and cannot get them on with the brace. Overall though I am pleased with the brace and it has reduced bunion painby taking pressure off the joint. I would recommend to anyone who has painful bunions. Price is on the high side but the product does work.

The Bunion Aid helps take pressure off my extra-long 2nd and 3rd toes, which were sore from being pushed toward the outside of my foot, and were rubbing against the inside of my shoes. I've worn the Bunion Aid for several hours a day, and so am not sure the device is actually correcting the bunion. The flexible hinged construction works well (in theory), but when the hinge flexes, the entire splint (including the strap) tends to rotate toward the top of my foot, releasing the tension on the big toe. This happens regardless of how tight the strap is fastened around my instep. It rather defeats the original purpose of the splint, in my opinion. I wish there were a way to hold the hinged joint in place over the bunion. Also, I found the felt pad around the big toe wasn't soft enough, so I improvised a silicone gel toe spacer pad inside the toe strap, to give extra cushioning. I found that after wearing the device in my tennis shoes for several hours, the bunion becomes red and tender from friction against the felt pad, so must limit the amount of time the unit is worn, especially with shoes. Overall, the Bunion Aid helps relieve some pressure, but the price is a bit salty considering the final effectiveness of the product.

I have been wearing mine for a over a week. I only ordered one because of the price but it is great that I can wear it on either foot. I like that it is hinged and very comfortable to wear. I can feel my ligaments stretching and allowing my toe to straighten. However, I think I need a pad behind the hinge so that I can get more leverage on the toe. I don't wear it with shoes. I determined that wasn't realistic before I ordered the product. I have to wear wide shoes because of the bunion and I knew it was impossible to find a shoe to accommodate my foot and this device.

I have suffered pain and ugly toes for years, and nothing worked until I found Bunion Aid. I've tried every splint and gadget in the universe, and wasted alot of time and money. I am so thrilled with the pain relief I've gotten from Bunion Aid. Wow! What great design and quality. Finally!!! /their on-staff clinical director was great and helped me out with all my lovely bunion questions and more. It is so nice to know that there is actually good customer service out there. Try it now. Highly recommended.

I've had super bad bunions all my life, and am just trying to put off surgery as long as possible. I have tried most of the other bunion-corrector products, and this is much better than all of them. No, it does not fit in a regular shoe, but fits inside crocs or with sandals - great for wearing around the house, which you can't do with any of the other products. Really helps to relieve bunion & toe misalignment pain. I will probably get a 2nd one for the other foot, so I don't have to switch from foot to foot. Hopefully the price will come down someday, but for the pain relief it is worth the price. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone with bad bunions.

I bought the Bunion Aid after seeing it in Reader's Digest or Prevention. The ad shows a foot, the bunion aid and a thin running shoe. There is no way you can fit the bunion aid in any type of shoe. It's totally misleading advertising. I immediately emailed the company on how to return the Bunion Aid.The only differentiation from other bunion splints is that it has a hinge. I suggest you buy a splint from Footsmart for less or Yogatoes. I had a heck of a time retuning the item. I was suspicious of the company and sent the item back certified mail. 10 days after they accepted the item, still no refund or communication from Alpha Orthodics. It took 2 emails and finally a phone call to the company. The man who answered the phone at Alpha Orthodics " customer support" said he was not in that department and had me call another number that went directly to a generic email. How professional. I then called the man back and he took my name and number and said that everyone was at a trade show. Today I got a call that they had received my return and that they could not refund my money because I had worn it?!!?? WTF?! I got mad, read the woman the email I received - it turned out to be from the president of the company and she immediately back tracked on the no refund. They refunded 58.95 but not the $12 (outrageous) shipping, nor the return shipping. I think the BunionAid is being marketed heavily right now. The item is not as advertised and I would be very careful of dealing with Alpha Orthodics. They advertise the bunion aid to fit in a shoe.....here's the president's own email back to me. Sent: Thursday, May 7, 2009 8:35:57 PM Subject: Re: Return Hi, No problem, pls return the Bunion Aid to our fulfillment center in St. Louis. It only works with shoes that have a wide toe box. But, please know that you don't have to wear the splint all day long. It works great at night as well. I wear mine at home for 2-3 hours and at night. It fits in some of my shoes but definitely not in all of them. |
