Perhaps like you, I once thought a filter is a filter; however, when I used the discount version, it was not quite tall enough and sometimes grounds would find their way into my coffee. The discount version was not as efficient, either, in filtering the coffee. Then I searched and searched the Internet for the best price on Bunn filters. Would you believe I found one site who charged $9.99 for one packet of 100 filters? Yes, I did. So you do the math: 12 x 100 = 1200 filters for a fraction of the per item price, delivered to my door. We are absolutely happy and satisfied with this purchase.
