Bunn BCW Warmer for Bunn Home Decanters

This unit is made to warm a decanter, but I use it to keep my coffee warm while doing office work. The computer powered warmers that use USB power from the computer have gotten very poor reviews. This unit works great as a single cup warmer.

No coffee cup warmer is allowed by law to keep our coffee hot enough, because of the liability involved with being burned.

Coffee pot warmers do not have these temperature limitations, so they keep a cup of joe HOT!

Finally, I can keep a hot cup, that stays hot, on my desk.

I bought this warmer because I often drink coffee in the office and I drink my coffee slowly and warming it at my desk is so much more nicer than having to walk to the break room microwave.

This warmer works very well. It has a convenient on/off button and you can put your coffee on it for just a minute and it is already warm. Leave it on a little bit longer and it's piping hot. It's very fast. It also looks good. Yes it's made for a full coffee pot and so the heating pad extends outside of your cup, but it still is quite compact for its function and still looks good. It really doesn't take up a whole lot of desk room and, and it has this very sleek black appearance which looks very nice.

Problems:

One issue is that this warmer heats up my coffee so much that it is almost TOO hot... But that is just my own taste. However this isn't a problem really because I just don't leave it on long enough to make it this hot.

However, the biggest concern I have is that it does not automatically shut off on its own if you leave it on. At least I have not seen it do so. If you leave your tea or coffee on this warmer for too long, the water slowly evaporates and you get this gross film on the top. I've had it where I only had a small amount of coffee left in the bottom of the mug, and I left it by accident on the warmer for an hour or so- When I came back, all of the liquid had evaporated and there was this black hard crusty stuff that had almost burnt to the bottom of the mug. I wondered whether if I left this overnight it would have caught on fire. I have fortunately not tested this yet.

Just be careful and don't neglect your coffee on this warmer, and otherwise it works fine.

I tried so many othere ways to keep my beverages and soups warm by my sick bed on the night stand. Cup warmers were a disappointment. The Bunn warmer keeps my soup, tea, even hot chocolate just right. It will even re-heat it if it cools off. I love it. So easy to keep clean too. Simple to use and though much bigger than a cup warmer it holds a corninging ware ramikin with other foods like a small meal that needs to be kept warm until I am ready for it, like mac'n cheese. As a cancer patient I am grateful for less walks to the kitchen. Coffee Decanters, move over.

Thought this was a little "pricey" until I tried it. Over the past 5 years have used the different coffe cup warmers with lousy results. The only difference between this and the others is this unit WORKS. You get a three year warranty and it is well built.

This sleek and smart little unit is SUPERB! I own a Massage Therapy business and I like to PAMPER my clients to the HILT! So, of COURSE a Massage/Spa experience just WOULDN'T be complete without serving Decadent gourmet TEA, COFFEE, COCOA and cookies to my guests! This little baby is quite quick to heat and keeps beverages JUST the RIGHT temperature...PIPING HOT! It is also EASY to CLEAN and the outer edge doesn't get unbarably hot to touch. Before I purchased 2 (ONE to keep the TEAPOT warm and ONE to keep the served cup warm) of these little guys, I thoroughly did my research and saw all of the near PERFECT scores everyone gave this unit...and I couldn't agree more! I wanted to add my FIVE STARS also! *PINKY'S UP* *ENJOY!*

My coffee maker shuts off after 2 hours. I work in my home office and drink coffee throughout the day. This is a LIFESAVER for me!! I no longer use a Bunn Coffee maker and any coffee pot size (8 or 12 cup) should fit this nicely, my 12 cup pot fits just fine. This is well worth my investment and is also handy for when I have a cookout and need a warmer for two pots at the same time-excellent addition to my kitchen here.

it's called a "decanter warmer" because the warming area is large enough to accommodate a carafe (e.g, 8 cup) - but it works fantastically well with single mugs. In fact, it's the only thing I've found that does a good job keeping a mug of coffee piping hot, and I've been looking for years (I've tried several so-called mug warmers that couldn't even keep coffee lukewarm). Highly recommended!

I bought this for my mother because she hates drinking cold water. She wanted something that would quickly warm a cup of water for her without too much mess. I've been searching around and landed on this product. Although this warmer is meant for use with coffee pots , it does a awesome job with just glass cups as well. I would say it takes roughly 10-15 minutes to warm a glass of room temperature water. Yes, I know some might think it weird for us to use this as a water heater but my mother loves this product!

I should have known I would like this product! I was first introduced to the Bunn warmer at my hospital. It was often used to keep water hot enough to make tea (did an excellent job). I ordered it for my boyfriend because he uses VERY large coffee cups--you want the base more than covered to really do a good job. He is very happy with the product. It keeps coffee/tea very hot, and the mug will also remain hot. If anything, it's too hot. If you like "warm" or "lukewarm" coffee---go with another brand! By the way...I am ordering one for myself because I like his so much!!
