Works just like it is supposed to... (HBB couldn't survive without his coffee). When the original carafe exploded in the dishwasher (what's up with THAT?) I needed a replacement so my boy would have his coffee for filling the morning thermos ASAP.

This is a hard to find item as it is not carried at the usual retail outlets like WalMart and Target. It appears to be an exact replacement. The price was very good. The shipping cost was a little high but still reasonable since shipping was fast.

It was great to find a replacement and I received it in just a couple of days. The only thing that would be better is if it was in Stainless Steel.
