These bunnies are absolutely beautiful and soft and my twin girls instantly fell in love with them when we gave them to them to sleep with at five months. The problem is that they say they are surface washable only, which is completely impractical, although, I did do that the first time I washed them. It immediately changes the texture and appearance of the rabbit's fur even when you do surface wash it. I now throw them in the washer and drier. The blanket part handles it well, but the bunny fur is now matted and looks dirty even fresh out of the wash. That doesn't diminish my daughters' love of them, however, so really only a cosmetic issue. Still, for as much as they cost, it would be nice if they stayed fluffy past the first wash.

My daughter is hooked. I have three of these - One for home, one for daycare, and and extra - just in case!
I just throw mine in the washer. No, the head of the bunny hasn't stayed as soft, but my daughter doesn't care.
My only complaint is that every one I have gotten has come undone on the bottom of one side. Super easy, one-time fix, but worth noting. This happened the first time I washed it - probably why you're supposed to hand wash it LOL. Come on, are you really going to hand wash a toy your child sleeps with and drools on every night?

My daughter received this as a gift when she was born and she is now almost 2 and doesn't go anywhere without it. She absolutely loves her "bun bun". It is so soft and adorable. It says to surface wash only but I have actually washed it numerous times and it's still holding up like new. It's good to know that it's easy to be replaced if we need to! I just purchased one for my best friend who is due any day with her first and I hope her baby loves it as much as mine did.

Wonderful bunny- daughter's must have
