This is a beautiful story of a little bunny who awakens in his rabbit hole to the sounds of the morning. It encourages the childs participation by asking the child to make the noises the little bunny hears. The illustrations by Lisa McCue are just gorgeous! My 17 month old son just loves this book! We read all the time.

My almost 2 year old loves this book soooo much! We read it over and over (20+ times) the first day we got it. I make the noises and motions (like "achoo-achoo" for "he sneezed", and scratching his chest for "he scratched") for each of the noises throughout the book. Now my son makes the noises and motions when he "reads" it himself. He has memorized the book so he knows some of the words on each page and he can "read" it himself!! This is a delightful book for children of all ages. A must have for the book loving child.

I picked this book up in a bookstore and couldn't leave without it. This book is about Little Noises. Little noises that bunnies, and bees, and babies can make. I love the shift from onomatopoeia to open ended questions that lead the child to make the noises. One reviewer commented that the story reads like a draft. I think it reads like a natural progression of thought and conversation, with no contrived rhythm or rhyme, and I like it that way. My favorite line is "Yes. It was a bumblebee."

The illustrations are just Beautiful. I like the contrast between the polish of the surroundings and the scruffiness of the bunny. And I love the lilacs.

I just think it's a wonderful, sweet book.

My 23 month old daughter LOVES this book - the first time I read it, she wanted to hear it again. I act out all the noises and actions in the book, and she thinks it's a charm. Highly recommended - I love Lisa McCue's illustrations.

The book and pictures are nice, but it is the puzzle of finding the 13 hidden "McCue" words painted into the pictures that is great. It usually takes me about 30 minutes to read this book to my kid because I spend so long straining my eyes to find the hidden words. Perhaps I need to upgrade from the board book version I have that has such small illustrations!

I bought this book for my son for this Easter (kind of early I know...but was just thinking ahead :) ) I always review the books I give my children first and I fell in love with this one from the start. The illustrations are so sweet and inviting.
I have ordered 4 more books to send to other children that I know. Dont pass this book by! It is an absolute delight!

This book is absolutely adorable. The text and illustrations are a perfect match. I especially enjoy the illustrations done with such brilliant colors and extra little details, such as the little grasshopper hidden within the drawings. It is fun to try to find them. I've only counted 12, but I think there must be thirteen, because in the dedication she mentions that there is a character shown thirteen times in the drawings.

This book is one of my 2 year old's favorite books. We've read it at least 4x/wk. for the past year. As he approaches his 3rd b-day in a month, I imagine we'll continue to read this story. It's one that no only delights the child, but the adult reader as well. We never tire of reading Bunny's Noisy Book, for although the Brown's text is very simple, McCue's illustrations are so well done that there is something new to discover each time we read. It's the illustrations that really make this book terrific.

It's true what the 1-star reviews say---the text is awful. I find it hard to read aloud because it's so awkward. But my son, who is almost 2 years old, loves this book. He likes sounds, and I bought this book for him because I knew it would be easy to add sound effects to it. There are opportunities to crow like a rooster, buzz like a bee, make stretching, yawning, and scratching noises, among others. My son waits with great anticipation for the page on which the mother bunny thumps the ground. And he loves it when the fox barks. These sounds are markers in the text that will, I think, eventually help him learn how to read on his own. So I give the book four stars. It isn't perfect, but it is entertaining for kids, and that's what counts.

The illustrations are among the world's pretties illustrations for children. The little animals have fun together. Your child will learn some of the sounds of nature. The story is so sweet.
