Well, I purchased this tape on a recommendation and did it yesterday morning for the first time. I'm an intermediate exerciser and I found it a tough workout. 2.0 out of 5 stars Not a fan.
I love the buns of steel series. I work out to them 5 days a week! However I was very disappointed with this video. It is the same format as the original but without the step. She even messes up a few times and is hard to follow. My suggestion is buy the advanced and just do it without the step. Then when you are ready to add a step you can. With this video once...

5.0 out of 5 stars One Heck Of A Workout, October 12, 2001

Well, I purchased this tape on a recommendation and did it yesterday morning for the first time. I'm an intermediate exerciser and I found it a tough workout. This morning I woke up and I could barely move. Every muscle in my by lower body is aching (especially the buns - it really hurts to sit down!). I highly recommend this tape. Tamilee Webb is a very good instructor, and outlines in advance the correct posture for the exercises. I also like the fact that Tamilee is the only instructor and there are no prancing people in the background in fake smiles. Full marks for one heck of a lower body workout. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent choice, July 26, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Buns of Steel 3: Buns & More [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I'm a 15 year old reviewer and I just picked up this workout last week. Even though I haven't worked with it for very long, I was impressed. Tamilee is very personable, and the workout she has chosen is really challenging. I thought I was in shape- I used to dance with a team at my school and my coach would make us do 200 crunches, but the ab section really made me realize the power of "Quality over quantity". My hamstrings and buns really feel a great workout! The first time I used it, I could barely get through without screaming, but the more I do it, the less it hurts, and the more it works. I still sweat like a pig, but I don't mind that too much.

She starts out with a short warmup and stretching sessions (she stretches only the areas you'll be working, keeping it short and sweet), then moves on to an awesome cardio workout, while toning at the same time. Then, she works on strength and toning, and I really feel the burn in my thighs, buns, and abs. Lastly, there's a short cooldown. (Afterwards, there is an explanation and extra workout for those with weights and how to use them properly)

The great thing about this tape is that once I can do the workout really well, she explains how to use weights and sports bands to make the workout more intense. I love this video!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hurts so good, December 4, 2002

I love this tape. Tamilee is one of my favorite instructors. In this tape there are plenty of lunges and squats--with my favorite and most effective exercise,(besides reverse lunges) the one-legged squat. What I truly like about this tape is that at the end of the workout she demonstrates how to increase resistance with the use of rubber bands and weights. Get this tape and be ready for one workout of a lifetime.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST!!, April 10, 2004

I have at least 20 exercise videos and not too much time to work out, and this one is TOPS. This video is short, intense, SAFE for my bad knees, and extremely effective. Be ready to have to increase your protein intake after doing this one a few times, because it'll really work your muscles. I just wore out my original video and have ordered two more before it's no longer available. You'll feel ALOT stronger and have better posture for having done it. I can't recommend it enough. Good luck! Nita

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Workout, January 4, 2000

Tamilee does a great job working the abs, legs, and buns in this video. It's a great post-baby workout. It takes a few times to get the routine down, and you'll be sore afterwards, but you'll see results. The stretching at the end is pure heaven after this intense workout.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great workout for the buns, July 11, 2006

This review is from: Buns of Steel 3: Buns & More [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I had to buy this tape again because I wore my old one out. This is literally one of my favorite Buns of Steels. This wokout is made up of lunges, side lunges, back lunges, squats, floor works thats intense and it has an ab section.

This tape works every area of the lower body.I did this tape so much and became dedicated.I now can also add hand to the arm movemnts done with the leg movements.I also have add a step platform for added resistence.Tamilee Webb Goes through how you can add all these things at the end of the video.Beginners should just start with the regular wokout at first. It is effective with not even added a step or weights.I also like added anke weights to the floor work but it is effective without them.

This workout goes so fast a smoothly though I start sweating. It is getting cardiovascular workout as well as killer toning. You will get sculpted abs by the floor work and contracted the all through the standed work as well,as Tamilee says to do.You will get beautiful buns with this video,I swear.I wore my old tape out and had to get another one.Tamilee is a great instructer.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Favourite Workout, April 30, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Buns of Steel 3: Buns & More [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I love this workout. The look of the tape changed, and I had lost my first copy and thought I wouldn't find it again, but here it is. I have lost wieght, and gained muscle and slim shape with this workout. For graduation from university, I wanted to wear a tight lycra dress and this tape gave me the shape to wear my dress with nothing dragging behind! Thank you Tamilee!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent focused, short workout, February 12, 2007

This is a great half hour workout. If you're in good shape, you'll feel like you got a great workout even though it's only a half hour, and if you're not in good shape, it would work well for beginners too. It's low impact, and it allows you to make it harder by adding more weights as you progress. If you have limited time, and want to get the most of a short workout period, I highly recommend this tape. Great for buns, abs and legs.

This tape is one of the best I have found to tone my rear. It is challenging and very, very effective. Tamilee's cuing is excellent although on the copy that I have there are two sections that have some funky editing. Overall this is one of the best tapes for your butt as well as hips and thighs. This loses one star because of that one section.
