Perhaps I'm partial, but as a friend of these Portland boys for several years now, I can confidently say they are one of the best bands around. Buy any of their CD's you can get your hands on -- "The Curvature of the Earth" is the most recent -- or "A Sinking Ship Loves Company". And above all, if you can see them live, do so. Slackjaw is a fantastic band. Having seen them live, I can officially say that they rock. Intelligent lyrics and music that isn't just the everyday hunky-dory "indie rock". This is the band that all bands wish they could be. Buy this record, you won't be dissapointed.
