5.0 out of 5 stars Downright Sexy!
As a woman, I have to say that this scent is just downright sexy, and I wish more men would wear it! What makes it so sexy - as well as the men who wear it - is that it doesn't try to be. I HATE men's colognes that smell perfumey, and this one doesn't. It's just clean, crisp and masculine, with the cedarwood scent predominating, followed by the fresh ginger. This stuff...

3.0 out of 5 stars Highly complex, interesting, but not for everyone!
First off it should be noted that this fragrance is very different. It is highly floral and in many cases smells like... well, really good soap (the major complaint seems to be that it smells too much like soap). This isn't an insult to the product, its construction quality which is detected immediately as a result of its highly floral nature, marks this fragrance as...

This stuff is so intoxicating to me that I occasionally wear it myself - and even then it gets me a bit randy! Highly recommended.

This is a manly scent that is not over-powering. I wear it to work most of the time and never get tired of the smell. Others will notice and comment about this scent. It makes for a good first impression as well.

3.0 out of 5 stars Highly complex, interesting, but not for everyone!, December 12, 2005
First off it should be noted that this fragrance is very different. It is highly floral and in many cases smells like... well, really good soap (the major complaint seems to be that it smells too much like soap). This isn't an insult to the product, its construction quality which is detected immediately as a result of its highly floral nature, marks this fragrance as highly creative and made well... and yet it isn't for everyone.

Weekend Burberry for men is extremely light, it'll remind you constantly of "bubbles" if you're anything like me, and yet it isn't too bad at all. Upon first smelling it you'll instantly be reminded of juniper. That's right, the dominant smell is juniper and man is it strong! Never before since I've smelled juniper so strongly in a home care product (a bottle of gin is a different story). I love the taste of juniper so I was immediately caught up with the complexity of this fragrance: in the backdrop of juniper came a floral smell which reminded me highly of soap... complex, yet soap. God I wish the juniper smell lasted, I would forever worship this fragrance.... and yet, it doesn't.

The problem with the fragrance comes over time, I'm afraid. Over time the juniper smell is lost to the overwhelming "soapy" smell (citrus and... soap?). I mean no disrespect when I say that this fragrance is one of the most feminine male fragrances I've ever smelled... some might like it, but the "soapy" smell is just too much to stand for everyday use in this reviewers' opinion (sure it mellows out with time, but only to reveal a sharp yet faint "soapy" smell? Not for me).

However given the creativity and overall complexity of this product, I'm forced with a difficult decision, rate it based on construction quality or on personal opinion (however, sharp overtones might sway one from wearing this everyday). I'm going to have to go with my opinion and give it a 3, when it could have a should have received a 5! If only it measured up to the expectations.

All in all, this product can be used for both formal affairs as well as informal affairs. A great creative fragrance for those that can tolerate it for an extended period of time! Initial score, 5, a few minutes into it the bothersome smell dominates 3.5 -> 4. Very disappointing, I wish the juniper smell lasted - they were apparently aiming for complex and yet it ended up nullifying the pretty juniper scent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Haven't found better, August 15, 2007
This review is from: Burberry Brit By Burberry For Men. Eau De Toilette Spray 3.3 Ounces (Health and Beauty)
I found Brit about a year ago. Since then, I've tried about two dozen different colognes (sample vials) from just about all the major designers, and none have topped it. Brit's strength is that it is the perfect subtle blend spicy, powdery, sweet scents which do not overpower the senses. Women seem to enjoy it as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, June 2, 2008

It's hot and I was wanting a couple of new colognes of my own picking. As an aside, I received those little bottles of cologne and cheap cologne as Christmas gifts for years. I had a stockpile and even years after telling everyone I absolutely did not want to receive cologne as a gift, I still have a lot of them and finally just got fed up wearing crap I don't want to wear. So, I've been on a search for colognes.

I never knew that some colognes were meant for either warm or cold weather, and since it was spring, I looked for warm weather ones. So after a lot of research I decided to go ahead and buy Versace's Blue Jean without trying it first, and I like it. But I wanted more than one fragrance to keep from being monotonous, so later on I bought this, Burberry Brit, also without trying it beforehand.

At first I thought I made a terrible mistake. When I put tried it for the first time, I immediately thought I had just bought a remake of Calvin Klein's Obsession, which I do NOT want, too common. So I was disappointed. Later on I was reading and it occurred to me that the smell had changed. But, I wasn't sure. So the next day I tried it again, yep, definitely Obsession. And then later on, hmmm, that's interesting. After a few more times I realized that the cologne really did change into a different smell, and I like it, a lot. So, for me it's kinda interesting because at first I'm always thinking, "Ugh, Obsession" but later on I'm perfectly happy with it. I'll put up with the Obsession smell briefly for the good smell shortly afterward.

So, give it about an hour on you before you judge its smell. It's definitely one of those that needs time before you know what it'll smell like on you. And another good thing about it is that it lasts a good while. Blue Jean dies out on me before I get home from work, Brit lasts probably something like 12 hours on me. I only spray once, so I'm not a stink bug, but the subtle smell lasts. Brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, August 10, 2005

This is just incredible. Many subtle layers of scents, non of them too strong or overpowering, despite the fact that this will stay with you all day long ( no need to respray, in other words, so it's a great value for the price ). I had never tried a Burberry product before and quite honestly bought this on a whim because I was running low on cologne ( yes, I'm one of those types who has to wear something different every day ) and wanted to try something different. I am happy to say there is really nothing I can compare it too - and that's a good thing, it's not "samey" like so many men's fragrances out today, and not feminine at all. Very nice.

I guess you could say I'm a cologne enthusiast and I bought this cologne never having tried it before. Needless to say I was not disappointed with this cologne. I love the fashionable bottle and the scent. The cologne smells very sweet, but has a little bit of a powdery fresh scent to it. It's one of those colognes that you want to be wearing when you snuggle up to or hug someone. I will note however that because of the powdery sweet scent the cologne has bothered one of my friends and makes them sneeze a lot. If your special someone has an overly sensitive nose I would suggest an alternative cologne with more musk.

This product has a very good fragrance mild but gently kind of a fresh capturing scent every time you pass someone and it lasts the whole day. Excellent indeed

Well it's Burberry Brit. This fragrance captures a ruff and tuff sense with a modern flair. A fresh oriental woody fragrance. Smells like Wood, Bergamot and Cardomom and Nutmeg and Grey Musk .
