4.0 out of 5 stars Love This Game!!!
After not seeing any reviews for this game I wasn't sure if I should purchase it or not. After just receiving a Wii System for Christmas I wanted to build my collection of games for the Wii System and this was by far my best choice. I am a 40 year old male and some of the games I purchashed where actually more for kids like Cooking Mama, Cold Stone Creamery and The Sims...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed
This game is quite cheesey. Graphics leave a lot to be desired and you are not able to upgrade as many things as with games like Cake Mania. I wouldn't waste the time.

After not seeing any reviews for this game I wasn't sure if I should purchase it or not. After just receiving a Wii System for Christmas I wanted to build my collection of games for the Wii System and this was by far my best choice. I am a 40 year old male and some of the games I purchashed where actually more for kids like Cooking Mama, Cold Stone Creamery and The Sims kingdom. My friend has Burger Island on the DS and suggested I might like it. Well out of all the games I purchased this was by the far the most addicting and fun. I played it with my friend and it was still hard as a 2 player game. I don't see how you can beat this game as a 1 player so I would highly reccomend that if you are looking for a fun grown up game to play with a friend this is the game for you. The game consists of you having to cook burgers, fries and shakes fast enough without making mistakes. If you lose don't worry you keep playing until you beat that level. After each level is completed you will than get more of a variety of burgers, fries and shakes which make it harder. It really is a fun game. The only problem I have is that it is too short. We beat it in 3 days but played it constantly. Now I am going to try and play as a 1 player. Wish me luck because I don't think it is going to be easy.

I bought this game for my 6 and 8 year olds. They were on vacation when it arrived so I broke it open to give it a try... and then I couldn't put it down! The concept is so simple but the execution is harder than it looks. Very addictive, even for adults!

This game is fantastic exercise for executive functions of your brain. This game forces you to prioritize, order, reguate emotions, and sequence fine motor activities under increasing time pressure. GREAT pre-frontal lobe exercise for those with ADD/ADHD.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just like the computer game, November 20, 2011

If you love Burger Island on your PC you will love it on your wii. Although not a typical wii game that requires you to physically move it still makes your arms tired given that you have to move the remote around quite a bit.

My son and I had a blast playing this game. We finished it rather quickly, but enjoyed doing so. Definitely would recommend for family play.

Sat down with 3 other friends, popped in this game, and had a blast. Basically you are in charge of a burger joint that makes fries, burgers, and shakes. Each round consists of you making just one of the 3 items, but with increasing variety and complexity. The burgers start out with just a couple of ingredients and then build to include 2 different kinds of patties to grill (veggie and regular) and then have a ton of toppings to go with them. The controls are great, everyone has a "hand" in building different things. We found the best way of completing the items ordered was to assign each person one job to do (one person was on the grill, one on ketchup, etc.) You can also assign each person one order to complete or something like that.

Anyways, I highly recommend this game, especially if you have a friend or two to play with.

I wouldn't say that this game has huge replay value once you are able to get through some of the higher levels unless you get different people to experience the game with, still worth the cost though.

2.0 out of 5 stars Perhaps too fast-paced for kids...and most adults, December 20, 2011

I bought this for our daughters who seem to love assembly-type games, but this one just doesn't hold their interest. I tried to play it myself and I couldn't keep up with all the orders either! It moves along very quickly and there doesn't seem to be much of a learning curve or a slower beginner level. You're supposed to jump right in and make the food requested right now before time runs out! Not much fun when all your stuff isn't done fast enough or good enough...no thanks. This game has turned me off from getting any more food assembly-type games in the future.
