This is an excellent product. We are now able to open our windows on a nice breezy day without fear of someone trying to get in the windows.

This is good product, at least in its concept and a good solution for improving patio door security.
It would be a great product if the adhesive were better. In spite of scrupulously following the instructions for cleaning the glass prior to application, one of the bars fell off a week after being installed ( the other five are so far OK ). I'm sure I will be able to find a suitable adhesive to be able to re-apply it but the contact adhesive applied to the units as supplied leaves a lot to be desired.

another hard to find item. use to be available from qvc. if window is not cleaned properly and if use window cleaner glue sometimes does not stick well(read directions). use this on double hung windows that like to keep open on cool nights. like to keep them on hand

I have used these in several houses. I love them. The lost lot I got only 2 out of 6 stayed stuck to the doors. Those 2 work great.

Put 2 on the doorwall as instructed...first fell off within 1 day second one lasted a week. Didn't bother using on any more windows

We have a 3 year old at home so these definitely serve to keep him safe. As for security, they seem strong enough to deter someone who sees a sash window as an easy opportunity, especially when coupled with an alarm system.

Due to its thickness, the sliding door jams when closing it. Then both hands are required, one to slide the door and the other to push the Burglabar away from the edge of the door.

These stayed in place for several weeks, but then they all fell off. We live in a temperate area, so it was not due to extremes of hot and cold. Would not purchase again.

These are super simple to install. They might work for old drafty windows, but if you have anything recent (since Regan was president), you'll find that there simply isn't enough clearance.

EVERY time I open or close any of the windows in my house (built in 2004), the window catches on these. If you're aware of this, and go slow, no problem. If you forget you end up tearing the product in half. Not a huge deal - it snaps back easily - AFTER you retrieve the 2nd half from INSIDE your window.

Fortunately our windows are easily removed for cleaning, but it's enough of a pain the broken part remains there for awhile.

If I could return these, I would. I wish I had tested them out more before installing all 6 of them. It's much easier to remove 1 than 6. :(

The Burglabar is also an excellent safety tool for keeping young children inside when they learn how to open the sliding door.
