great book for patrol officers,

There are few books geared towards officers working the street. This one is written for street cops by a street cop who also worked as a detective & administrator. The forms & charts to aid street investigations are great & the book is spiral bound so the forms can be photocopied. The most illuminating parts for me were sections on how burglars think & how important effective patrol can be in detecting and deterring burglars. I feel better equipped to tackle the burglaries in my district now that I've read this book. The whole philosophy here can make you a better patrol officer, not just in working burglaries.
