Designed for the avid cyclist or occasional cruiser with great taste, the Burley D'Lite bike trailer seamlessly carries a pair of children, a bag of local produce, or your 3-year-old and her invisible friend. The D'Lite--which converts to a walking stroller, jogging stroller, or skiing trailer with the addition of an accessory kit (sold separately)--is spacious and comfortable, with bowed-out side battens for added elbowroom, a deluxe seat pad and reclining seat, and an elastomer suspension system that creates a smooth, stable ride. Children will also love the comfy hammock-style seats, which include flow-thru mesh for added ventilation. Most importantly, the D'Lite is built to keep your precious cargo safe, with a five-point safety harness, a tough aluminum frame with a full roll cage, and a secondary safety system.

Other features include UV-protected windows, drum-tight fabric that keeps the riders away from wheels and spokes, an integrated hitch positioned for superior tracking, a large two-in-one water-repellent cover that's stain- and mildew-resistant, and ample cargo storage for toys, food, and other accessories. The D'Lite bike trailer--which folds flat for easy storage--comes with a Lady Bug cover, a traditional storage cover, and a safety flag. All Burley trailers meet and exceed the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) safety requirements.

My husband and I just purchased new bikes (Scott - Sportsters) and we have a two year old daughter that we needed a trailer for. Every bike shop we visited stood behind the Burley brand. I have to admit I did not like the price tag, but after going home and doing my research I can totally see why the Bike shops all recommend the Burley D'Lite. It is very easy to assemble, very easy to tow and simple to collapse and store. It is made with quality material and has a sharp look to it. The seats inside are padded to absorb the shock of bumpy rides, the circulation was perfect (we saw my daughter's hair dance in the wind) and there is plenty of room in the back for a backpack, picnic lunch etc. Better yet my daughter loved it! She was so comfy that she fell asleep half way through our 12 mile ride. The D'lite can accommodate two children up to 100lbs, so we can still use it when baby #2 comes along.

What really sold us on the Burley over all the other brands was the resale value. We scoured eBay and Craiglist before buying a new one and found that the used Burleys were only slightly cheaper. I e-mailed one Craigslist seller only to find out she had several other interested buyers and I would have to be part of a bidding war. So we decided to purchase a new one, use it for a few years and get a good portion of our money back with resale.
