I bought this trailer to use with my electric bike. It can easily carry a couple of large rubbermaid storage tubs for carrying groceries or other purchases, so this combo is now my eco-friendly alternative to driving around town for short trips. Not having front or rear walls I initially thought was a drawback, but now find it very useful for carrying longer items (like my inflatable kayak)! The trailer is very lightweight, yet strong. The Burley trailer hitch system is very well designed and easy to use. While the trailer can be disassembled, I find that some of the lock pins are a bit tight and really not worth the bother. Fortunately, the wheels are very fast/easy to remove, so that makes the trailer "flat enough" for my storage needs. The floor of the trailer is the same "plastic-coated canvas-like" material as the side walls. While this keeps the weight down, you'll want to add a firmer floor if hauling anything with unusual edges that might dimple the stock floor. Overall, very pleased with this trailer!

Solid and light,

Overall I'm pretty impressed with the trailer. It's incredibly light for how strong it is, and you almost don't notice it while pulling it behind you... unless you're going up a hill, then things get a little less carefree, but I guess that's to be expected from any trailer. It's hard to tell from the photos provided, but there's no solid support platform underneath the bottom of the trailer. It's basically a rectangular frame with rounded corners, and the bed of the trailer is nothing but a waterproof nylon-ish fabric stretched tight between the left and right side of the frame, which is more than strong enough for normal use. Even loaded down with 40 pounds of stuff, the bottom barely sags. Luckily the main part of the trailer comes assembled, and all that's left is to connect the side supports, bike attachment arm, and wheels, and you're ready to go. It took me less than 20 minutes to unpack and build the first time. Flattening the trailer for storage is just as easy. The wheels pop on and off with no tools or fuss; the side supports take a little more wiggling but nothing too difficult. My only quibble with the trailer is that the attachment hitch didn't fit on my bike, and I had to order a special one: Burley Bicycle Trailer Hitch (Classic). My bicycle is a fairly new steel frame road bike, and I felt it was a little weird that they'd package the trailer with a hitch that isn't universal. Plus it's frustrating getting a new toy and not being able to play with it right away. The trailer comes with red and white reflectors, but considering how low profile it is I'd recommend getting flashing rear lights and/or a safety flag. Drivers aren't expecting you to be towing anything, and I've had one too many close calls with cars that try to change lanes right behind me.

Excellent trailer with one minor flaw,

This trailer is absolutely perfect for hauling all sorts of loads. Attachment is quick and simple. It easily fits two large plastic tubs. My only complaint is that the attachment rings for the straps are too close together in the center of the trailer. I found it much more effective to secure loads using bungie cords attached to the outer frame.

I put my car on blocks and needed a way to move large items. I can Fit a large cooler, and a milk crate on it. I haul my garbage w' it ( on a 45 gallon toter) and have had 85-100 lbs many times on it. I broke one of the quick release levers- but it can be fixed w' a standard front quick release.

This was the worst purchase I've ever made and I bought a thighmaster once. It falls apart after you spend the WHOLE day assembling it.
