I liked this book, but truthfully preferred the similar "Unlike Any Land You Know" by James Vesely. There are plenty of good stories and a good selection of photographs, but the overall book suffers from what seems to be a lack of editing. If you're interested in the story of the Bridge Busters, I would recommend this book, but if you're only going to get one book on the subject, I would get Vesely's book instead. Great Book. Well written, Easy Read. The book contains a lot of detailed information on the life and times of those who participated in the China,Burma, India theater. Appendix A on page 140 my fathers name is listed. He was a B-25 Mitchell bomber pilot in India. Before his India duty, he had volunteered for the Jimmy Doolittle Raiders. One of the Raiders was Robert Manning Gray. Gray and my dad were good friends, so when I was born, I was given the middle name of Gray.
