You get to know these guys like anyone else on any work team, but without dress-down Fridays.

We have a nephew who is still on the Dept . My husbands brother retired after 38yrs. fighting fires in Detroit , my husband & his bro. were both there in July of 1967 trying to keep the city from burning down & here we are almost 50yrs. later still trying to save that thankless city. Every one should see this DVD and be angry with a city that is trying to blame there problems on the retired police & fire pensions. They were earned, they are not an entitlement. There are people in that city getting far more in benefits for doing nothing .While these brave men may loose theres .Buy this DVD some of the money will go to buy equipment for the men still on the job . God bless them and keep them safe.

I saw this in the theater with a group from my fire department and we all came away very impressed. BURN not only tells the story of the challenges, struggles and positives of the firefighters of Detroit, but also shines a larger light on the problems of urban decay and a dying city. Whether you are part of the fire and emergency services world or not, I highly recommend giving BURN a watch. It's a great view into the world of the firehouse and what these men and women, from chief to rookie, goes up against every day.

I saw this at the theatre when it first came out. It was a very informative look at the problems and pressures that DFD face on a daily basis. Definitely a must see. Highly recommended.

Amazing to see the crap our brothers in Detroit have to deal with. This is raw, and honest. Buy it.

I bought this movie expecting it to be as good as people made it sound. It exceeded expectations, and I plan to buy the DVD asap. Keep in mind this is a DIGITAL copy of the documentary. Well worth the money, and the story itself is worth buying!

Awesome movie of city firefighters! I wish it could have gone into more detail; but at least they focused on one thing, without going in many directions. Great overview of a major fire department. Loved the action and real life situations without Hollywood's BS getting in the way. I am a former volunteer firefighter for South Jersey.

One of the best movie/documentaries of the year! Highly recommended to all who want to learn more about the dire situation in Detroit and how it has impacted the fire service. As a fireman myself, this really hit home! What an awesome movie for the whole family to enjoy together!
