I am in this band a enjoy being a part of it. This CD I believe has some of the greatest tunes, it's just amazing. I enjoy playing with Slick Shoes, and Fanmail. I really think punk rawk is on the rise, and enjoy playing it. In the future I plan on continue playing with the two bands I am currently involved with, and I'm also looking at playing with a band in a small town in Maryland, named (blank). They are totally cool, and tear it up; they have some good stuff. Any way this CD rocks, so buy it!! If not you will eventually regret it!C-ya

The best punk cd that I've heard.................,
By A Customer
This review is from: Burn Out (Audio CD)
Don't skip Burn Out just cause it's a Christian CD. I've got tons of punk cd's, but this one is the best. It doesn't get old. The twin guitar attack is incredible throughout the album. Something that very few punk bands can do, and do right. The drums are better than most punk cd's, but still pretty repetive. It's kinda hard to hear it on the album, but the bass playing is also very good. The feeling, and emotion really comes out in Ryan's voice on this CD. Not at all like their new one. A great CD everyone! Matt <>< +†+

Best Christian Punk Band,
By Joshua C Sanderlin (Laramie, WY United States) - See all my reviews

This CD is one of the best Punk CD's I have ever heard. With two guitars you get tons of awesome riffs and cool backup melodies. Ryan does an excellent job on vocals. I think this CD and Rusty are the best slick shoes CD's the other CD's are good but compared to these two they are somewhat lacking. My three favorite songs on this CD are Parting ways, Silence(hidden track), and for better for worse. If you are telling yourself "they are christian so they can't be any good" you are dead wrong. I would definitly buy this album if you are a fan of punk.

It never gets bunt out,

I like this cd. It's one of those staple albums that everyone has to have. The songs are complex with dual guitars that have lead flowing continually through the songs. Most of the songs are in a minor tone and this is a set back, but this is still a great cd. If you like fast pop punk, than this cd is a must.

These guys can really rock. Intricate guitar work, fast, hard drums, cool vocalist. You won't find many (if any at all) better punk rock albums out there. They can be compared to MxPx, but beware...they do not sound a really whole, whole lot like them. Since I had read so many reviews before saying they sound ALOT like MxPx (and I am a big MxPx fan) I was just a little dissapointed when I got it, but when I really started listening to it and getting used to it... I found I love this CD, you can not and will not be dissapointed with this high-quality music.

*This is the BEST Slick Shoes album*
I have listened to "Burn Out" for 6 years now and I still love it! 13 tracks of fast, super melodic, catchy punk rock. Every song on here is great - the music is energetic, head-nodding, sing-a-long goodness. Don't be confused by customer reviews about other Slick Shoes albums being the best... BURN OUT is the album you need to hear!

This was the last CD that featured Jackson on guitars and he sure left the band on a strong note. The music is amazing on this album. While some of the songs are a bit repetitive and Ryan's vocals are unusally annoying at times, I still enjoy "Burn Out," by Tooth and Nail vets Slick Shoes. They showcase their musical gifts very well on this CD and some of the songs are incredible for a pop-punk band. Where the CD runs into some problems is their inabiltiy to produce three or four songs in a row that you don't have to skip over. It seems like I am always playing the same four or five songs over and over again. However, if you are convinced you are a Slick Shoes fan, the cost of "Burn Out" is worth it just for "For Better, For Worse", "Fool Me No More," "Fulfilling", "When Does it End," and the hidden track "Simple." Verdict-72/100

Fast Drumming and great guitars make this a 4 star CD!,

Alright, yes this CD is a bit repetitive, but these guys were just starting out, and the drumming is very fast, so it doesn't matter. There are alot of filler tracks, but the highlights on the CD are For Better, For Worse, East on Tracks, Last Round, When Does it End?, Responsibility, Clenched Fists, Black Eyes, and Parting Ways, but the alltime best track is definately Track 7 When Does it End? They need to do another track like that on some later Cds. Anyway if you're a die hard fan thatn this a must have, but if you're new to them then check out their self-titled CD Slick Shoes and see what you think. Also check out Rusty.

This CD is great. A lot of fast energetic songs. I didn't really care for a couple of the songs like "Learn To Unlearn" or "When Does It End?". Couldn't really get into them. But the rest rock. I just heard this band Classified Blind, that also rock. Love their songs. Check this CD out along with Classified Blind. You won't regret it.
