I can't get enough. As a lover of the Hammond B3, this is THE BEST organ CD I've ever heard. I've listened to the CD over 50 times and each time I discover nuances not previously heard.

Tony is a master. Each selection cooks! My only regret is that I don't live near Columbus, OH so I could see him live.

The musical selections are superb. I especially like the rendition of Wes Montgomery's Road Song. The B3's comping during the guitar solo makes you want to get out of your seat and start dancing.

This is the 1st time I've ever reviewed a CD. I love this compilation so much that I had to share my love for CD.

The CD deserves six stars ******

5.0 out of 5 stars Burnin' Grooves is "Hot"!, April 14, 2002

For major jazz organ lovers we've certainly heard it all before with Jimmy Smith and Joey D. (Papa John D.) , but Tony has a nice groove for the blues. This album will not disappoint any b3 fan and will be nice to have in your b3 jazz collection.

Much like one of the previous writers said the "Road Song" is tough, but my favorite is Ashleen, it has that "Oh No, Babe" feel. Also, soon like most trios they'll have to add a sax for variety.

Overall, I dig this LP....

Tony Monaco is a master of the Organ Jazz.
He inherited all the secrets of the playng the Hammond, through many phone calls with the grate, late Jimmy Smith, that is the pioneer and the inventor of the "great" Organ Jazz" !
What else have I to say you ? Just listen to it and you will not able to sit down !
Believe it !
God Bless Tony Monaco and Joey Defrancesco !
