The only other reviewer is correct- this book is neither sexy or romantic. It is straight-up erotica and excellent erotica at that- something evidently the last reviewer was not looking for. Ashbless writes both men and women's darkest desires very well- you will discover things you didn't even know you wanted within her stories. Her most perfect collection of stories is Cruel Enchantment. Look there to get a good feel for her best writing, and keep reading. She's one of the best.

This book is awful. The product description says two lovers are on the run from their past, traveling thru the jungle...

The reader gets none of this. We start with a man waking up and not knowing who he is. The entire book is about the heroine being tortured and raped as a slave while the man goes about fighting and having sex with a multitude of women. There was nothing sexy or romantic about either scenario. Not even in a 'if you are into D/s" type way. There is not even anything hot about the guy having sex along the way since you know he is supposed to be passionately in love with this woman for whom he is searching but does not even remember. They are reunited only at the very end of the book. There are only a handful of pages with them together in any way.

Also: incest, F/F, along with the rape and torture. The only purpose this book serves is that of a cold shower. Seldom do you come across a book that is such a complete turn off.
