5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Ga'Hoole
This wasn't the best book in the series, I think, but it was a terrific ending. (At least I think it's the end) It was well written, and a great book. I won't say too much, so I don't spoil it. I think if you've finished Ga-Hoole, turn your attention to the Warriors series, by Erin Hunter. Those are longer, and most Lasky fans will enjoy them.

I chose this book because I have already read some of the authors books before in this series. I would rate this book a 3 out of 5. I would recommend this book for 8 and up. The first half of the book was a little bit boring. Then it starts to pick up. It talks about how the Guardians...

A Kid's Review
Here it is at last: The Burning. it all started when Soren and the chaw of chaws (and with Eglantine) are sent to the Northern Kingdoms to unite it's warriors in order to destroy The Pure ones. but when Soren and Gylfie are seperated from the first time and recive no assurances from owls of the Northern kingdoms he realizes he must either kill his brother Kludd or be killed by this monster. can he accomplish it? this is definately the best of the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Owls go to Far Away Land For Help, January 25, 2005
A Kid's Review
Kathryn Lasky's The Burning is truly a book for the masses. In it Soren, a barn owl takes his friends and his sister on an epic adventure to the Northern Kingdoms to find help for a war. In this book humans are extinct and all that remains of them are castles and man made things like Watches. But as soon as they get there they split up on separate missions. Soren and his friend get separated.
I liked this book because my favorite animal is an owl. This book is one I recommend to all who like adventure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gylfie lover Ifghar hater, November 12, 2005
The excitement of this book really begins in the previous book (The Shattering). The Chaw Of Chaws is heading north on different missions such as sending Dewlap(who has gone mad)to a retreat and asking for help in the upcoming battle. Suddenly, Gylfie is kidnapped. Will Twilla be able to rescue her?
If I could, I would give this book six stars!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Burnination!, June 28, 2005
The Burning was awsome book! It had me staying up all night because each chapter was a cliffhanger! Mrs. Lasky knew exactly where to put the fighting scenes. She came up with the perfect names for all the owls too. None of the books had several paragraphs just to decribe something. I'm glad this book ends with a cliffhanger because when I finished reading that book I hoped another would come out. I cannot wait to read the next book. This series is great for all ages, and I would especially recommend it for ages 9-12.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yay!!, March 31, 2005

After the over-edited, repitive 5th entry in the series, The Shattering, I was looking at The Burning and thinking, "What if this tarnishes the series even more?" But I was brave and picked it up. And I was rewarded for my perseverence.

By chapter 2, I was giggling at the return of some funny characters from The Journey. Later, I couldn't stop smiling as I read about Otulissa's exploits at the Glauxian Brothers' Retreat. After about halfway through the book, I literally could not put it down. I was too captivated by Gylfie's courageous escape from danger, Soren's anger over the parliament's controversial decisions (which you'll have to read the book to find out), and finally, by the exciting battle scene that concludes the book. I should note that, although this seems to be the last in the series, I am pretty sure there's going to be a 7th book (first, because it's listed on amazon, and second, well, I'm not telling). So anyway, if you were let down by The Shattering like I was, never fear--this book brings back everything you loved about the first four.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST REVIEW OF THIS BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, August 16, 2005
A Kid's Review
The Burning is a very exiting book and is shocking at the end. There are very tense moments in the book in which Soren is frightened.Kathryn Lasky really wrote the Burning better than J.K Rowling wrote Harry Potter. When I first started reading Guardians of Ga'hoole I absolutly loved it!I think she should make a movie of because it is so GOOD!Thank you for reading this review.

Guardians of Ga'Hoole Book 6 The Burning
A book on your opinion
I chose this book because I have already read some of the authors books before in this series. I would rate this book a 3 out of 5. I would recommend this book for 8 and up. The first half of the book was a little bit boring. Then it starts to pick up. It talks about how the Guardians [Guardians the good owls] and the Pure Ones [Pure Ones are the bad owls] are planning an attack on each other. There in battle the Pure Ones leader Kludd gets killed. Who was the one to that killed him find out. This is when the story gets exciting. The main charters are Soren, Gylfie, Digger, and Twilight. If you like action or planning this is a book for you.

A Kid's Review
This is a really good read for people who are fans of this seiries and for people who want to learn more about owls and who already love owls at heart. This book continues Soren's journey through the kingdom of Ga'Hoole and has many surprising turns in it.

This book is a really good book.
